Opening line was MI - 3

it's been hovering between 4 - 5 for a while

still sitting at UF + 4 up to UF + 5

I'd call the line 4.5 based on what I am seeing

is something funny going on?

With all the suspensions, I would have guessed we'd see it jump to 6 or 7

makes me wonder - also makes me feel better about the Gators' chances...

5

starters

returning

vs

top

sec-east

team

Do people here not understand how lethal inexperience can be for the chances of winning big games?

I have NEVER heard of a top sec team losing a game when the opposing team has 17 players starting for the first time ever.

If an SEC team had only 5 starters returning, nobody would expect any better than a 8-4 year

I think people are not sure what Michigan has. They lost basically their starting D. I believe one starter on D and four starters on O are returning.

Florida lost 9 out of 11 starters on defense.

While they do return much of the offense, they have been ranked 110+ the past two seasons so it's not like they're returning some prolific offense. Not to mention their best running back and receiver are now suspended for the game.

Quit being a pussy lol, Michigan will curb stomp Gators.

The amount of inexperience michigan will be starting this year is unprecedented in CFB according to phil steele. He went back ten years and couldn't find a single team that was starting so much inexperience.

Inexperience usually is more important than talent in college football.

They were bad on offense because they were young.

Then Florida has been young for 6 years.

It's going to be a close game. I thought the line would move a little on the Scarlett news. I thought the gators would win with him but now I think we lose a close one. Franks is a wild card tho.

That's why I don't get all of the "UF will get blown out" stuff I have been reading here. I know UF seems to be losing a player a day, but I will be shocked if UF gets crushed. I kind of expect UF to win.

I'm still sticking to my 17-14 prediction, could go either way IMO

It probably will be a low scoring game. I'm not sure what the over/under is, but that would be a good bet to consider for that game.

ETA just looked 43.5 to 44

A few reasons.

1. Scarlett was not a weapon in this game. Our running game will be stuffed by Michigan's front seven. Him in or not, our running attack will be stagnant. So his loss for other games is huge, but not this one.

2. Callaway it jumped a little. The other players only one holds any real depth chart value. Callaway was a huge loss, bigger than Scarlett. He was the main weapon to use on Michigan with their corner issues.

3. Michigan is a name right now. So many new faces. it's hard to know what Michigan brings. We know they have a hell of a coach. We know their Dline is studly as hell. We know their QB is inconsistent and their run game will be sound. The rest is kind of who knows. A lot of talent, but a lot of new talent.

4. Franks was named a starter. Most know he is the most talented of the three. Knowing Del Rio isn't starting is big news.

All I keep thinking about is how - three years back - I was look ahead at this game and smiling at the thought of senior quarterback Will Grier torching UM on his way to a Heisman finalist & a CFP bid. Kelvin Taylor could have been on the team still. And I'm sure some of our nasty D would have stuck around hoping for a ring.

Instead....

Michigan has a better coaching staff and a full roster of depth - they will crush UF.
