But I say no. While playing LSU in Houston would be fun, I feel the neutral site robs the fans of the home and home experience.

Bama / AU in Atlanta would be awesome. Especially after the new stadium is built.
50/50 split? Crazy to experience that.
But that will never happen.

Neutral sites are horrible. Takes away from the college gameday tailgating experience. Do not want.
While I like H/H, I have no issue with FLA/UGA in JAX or TEX/OU in Dallas. Those should be neutral and are great IMO.

You can't be serious in thinking that is a college gameday experience. I love tailgating in Athens. Hated tailgating in Jax for those games and the Landing was horrible.

Arky will try to make it permanent, and A&M benefits a lot from that game. We'll see.
An A&M-LSU matchup in Houston would be tits, but it won't happen. LSU won't get that extra recruiting leverage.

I love the Jacksonville tradition of Georgia/Florida, but in most contexts neutral site games take away a lot of the beauty of College Football.
Playing a heated rivalry in a sterile dome environment where people were tailgating in parking decks isn't what college football is about.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Jacksonville tradition, but remember it's built up a century of tradition and pageantry so it's not really comparable.

No I can barely stand playing our opener at a neutral site.

It is a very unique, multi-day experience. The "multi-day" part is key. Students getting out of class, going to St. Simon's, then going to Jax/the landing on gameday. It's the best college football weekend I've ever experienced, by far. The 50/50 split in the stadium is also awesome.
I honestly don't know how someone can't have fun at the Landing, but that's personal preference I guess. It certainly isn't like a campus tailgate atmosphere.

UF/UGA and OU/UT are the rare exceptions where there is a lot of tradition rooted in the neutral site game.
Personally, I hate neutral site games. It ruins the atmosphere, and 99% of the time it is done purely for the money, not for the fans.
I cringe everytime I hear about SC scheduling a neutral site game at Bank of American Stadium in Charlotte.

If Birmingham had a nicer stadium I'd like to see it there once.

That's why I'm not a huge fan of the games at Jerryworld or Arlington. i'd like to see H/H more often, but I understand why it isn't happening

Hell, what do you wanna do? Build a stadium on the Lowndes Couty GA, Madison County FL line, were the 50 yard line is the stateline.

What I hated about the Landing is that it isn't tailgating. You don't hold down a spot with a bunch of friends. You stand around like you are at an overgrown frat party.
If you do want to tailgate you tailgate out in the parking lot. I have done it multiple times for UF/UGA and also Jags games.
I can understand the going to St Simons and it being tradition and whatever but I would much rather roam around a place like LSU eating at tailgates and chilling out having fun.
Just my point of view.

also wouldn't it cost us money. Both Kyle Field and Tiger Stadium are much bigger than Reliant Stadium.

I guess I should also disclose that I do enjoy the Chick fil a kickoff games being here in ATL. Nice way to kick off the college football season.

I understand what you're saying, fly. All of those reasons are why I prefer on campus for almost all games. Georgia/Florida has enough tradition that it doesn't feel overly "NFLish" and become lame to me. 7 fun gamedays in Athens, 1 wild weekend in Jacksonville and a couple good away game trips makes for a well rounded awesome season.

That's why I enjoyed watching the Clemson/UGA game. I hate both schools with a passion, but it is rare that you see a game like that. Usually, games like that are almost always neutral site these days.
The atmosphere would have been nowhere near as electric if that game had been played in the Georgia Dome or at Bank of America Stadium.
