Look at each of their first 4 game performances in their respective soph seasons. Leonard outperformed gurley during this similar time span, right before Gurley got injured. Leonard outperformed Gurley in TD's and Yards
Leonard Soph
Gurley Soph
Leonard Soph
Gurley Soph

People are just giving honest opinions breaux. Lay off.

I'll be honest. This is one of those threads that will get bumped at the end of the year to prove to everyone just how good fournette is.
He is the next adrian peterson without the headcase.

What's your point?
He was fragile. He had a great freshman season, yeah, but he spent much of the rest of his career hurt.
Fournette is a wiser choice.

I've already bookmarked it

Why look at 4 games (btw did you notice how much tougher the opponents wee for Gurley?)?
Why not compare their entire freshman season?

So you'll bump this thread and LF7 will have maybe win a Heisman while all Gurley will have done is ledthe NFL in rushing..I mean we are predicting right?

Gurley also missed a half against Clemson. Just throwing that out there.

LF7 gets way overhyped because he was a arguably one of the most sought out players ever coming out of high School. He has also lived up to that hype, But Gurley is an extremely gifted back as well and was completely dominant at times when he played at Georgia (healthy) and now in the NFL (healthy).
So It's hard for me to say which one is better when healthy, although if you attributed health status like everyone keeps mentioning you would definitely have to go with LF7.
But if I had to choose right now, one running back for my team, for one single game I would pick Gurley.

I think you mean "were". And no you can do all of the extra stat digging if you'd like. I just put up the actual performance stats. The best indicator on who the better player is.
And to answer your question about not factoring in each of their freshman years, some players get better while others regress.

Every single person who chose would pick Fournette if he had real money on the game.
But seriously, would you pick Hershal Walker or Pee Wee Herman?

We're talking college, which Gurley spent most of off the field.

well, thats why you're georgia. but keep enjoying second place

Are you sure?
Todd Gurley had a better freshman season than Leonard Fournette, then proceeded to get hurt as a sophomore and junior.
Let's not act like it isn't close between the two...
Todd Gurley played 26 games (not even 26 full games) with Georgia and mustered 4,322 all purpose yards and 44 touchdowns.
Yes, I am undoubtedly, unquestionably certain, and never did I say Gurley did nothing to warrant praise in college...it isn't close.

That's some Gump logic for you.

If I was a LSU fan I would find some wood to Knock on. Injuries are going to happen when you play RB. Just have to hope it's not a major one.
Posted on 10/27/15 at 10:26 pm to Futures Bleak
Look who Gurley played those first 4 games vs who LF7 played his first 4. Not knocking LF, but not a good argument.

Dude, every LSU fan on this site literally thinks that LF7 cannot be tackled. As if O-line play has nothing to do to help him. The truth is that the margin between the greatest running backs in the world right now is not that wide of a margin compared to am elite QB, or a DB, etc.
But yeah man it's my gump logic, even though this post has nothing to do with bama and you just saw I was a bama fan..
you are the man. Im sorry, LF7i s the all time greatest running back ever. He is better than gale sayers, Herschal Walker, and Adrian Peterson combined
