I'll be there tonight-Sunday, staying downtown for a wedding.
Where do me and the boys need to go out? We're 25-27, so on the verge of getting creepy but can still pull off the victory lap/grad school look.
Help us out, where's the thirsty thursday spot?

You and the boys should hit up Crossing Lexington. You'll love it.

Sounds like a tranny bar/drag show.

Obligatory BS post.
Where's Kittie Kat Belle at?
I don't know shite about that place besides Rupp and we're dealing with a Bridezilla who cannot be trusted.

Step outside tonight at like 6. There will be a shitload of people at Cheapside Market. Go there.
I'll add more here in a second, but Thursday Night Live (at Cheapside) is a good spot to start tonight.

If you are at the Hyatt or Hilton you can walk a few blocks and look at the big blue hole - the two construction cranes are easy to spot - and when you are there you should be able to see McCarthy's where faking an irish accent is a good way to pick up the locals.
Since it is Thursday night go about 1 block over to main street and they have Thursday night stuff usually going on in the bars and city space next to the old courthouse. The Crossing place they are talking about is also in this general area.
Friday and or Saturday night you may want to walk up to North Campus and hit the blocks around Two Keyes, google is your friend, and just follow the wandering crowds. If UK wins, the Elizabeth Street area will be the multi block party center but no bars there and you may not want to become another statistic of the infamous Lexington Police Scanner
Where / when is the actual wedding? Surprised somebody local would have planned a wedding here at this weekend.

What the frick do you want?
I'd say Two Keys, especially with the sellout crowd at Commonwealth on Saturday if you head out that night. Legend probably has good Thursday advice with Cheapside.
No, we will not provide your bail.
ETA: If you need to get out during the day, check out some of the bourbon tours on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.

Does not compute.
The only nightlife in Lexington will consist of the students burning couches after they beat UF.

Lexington isn't in the hills.

That really is a WVU thing that seems to have crept into UK the past few years as O H I O thugs have crossed the Ohio Ocean to party in LEX.

I would not go to Two Keys. It's my least favorite bar in the entire city, but to each his own. If you want Campus-ey feel, maybe go there or one of the other bars in South Limestone,
If you want a bourbon bar, go to Bluegrass Tavern on Cheapside (note: not the bar called Cheapside). If you want a brewery go to Ethereal or country boy or west sixth.
If you want a cool chill vibe go to the distillery district and tie one on overlooking the town branch.
Unless you're a drunk a-hole, just talk to people and ask them in person. Lexingtonians are willing to point you in the right direction.

What's this?

The creek that the city was founded on. It's the town branch of the Elkhorn. It is buried beneath downtown (and rupp) and it resurfaces in the distillery district (or as we used to call it, Irishtown) just to the west.

Lexington is in the hills.
Actually is is a geological "bowl" where the "hills" only begin 25 - 50 miles from downtown. That is why thoroughbred farms are in Lexington and not Richmond (Berea is were you begin to see the "hills" and they gradually grow as you head farther away.
If you think this is "hills" you clearly have not been to Lexington
