Yeah..we had a mediocre team in 1997 and we also lost to UGA that year but beat the girls school at the end of the season when they were ranked # 1. 1997 was the year after we won the NC and we lost a lot of talent....but I do remember LSU fans were so fricking giddy in 1997 that they stormed the field in jubilation for so rare of an event. I don't think spurrier has ever beaten LES.
If i remember correctly '97 gators were #1 team in the country when they came into death valley that saturday night.

Saddest part about the game last year was how LSU managed to make Treon Harris look like a semi-competent qb

Hmm, if you say so. But be aware that in 1990 before the worst decade of LSU football in our history, and the best decade in yours (which happened to be the same), LSU and UF had met 37 times and LSU had the head-to-head 18-16-3.
We're just now working back to the historical edge LSU holds over UF...since we're only talking about 2000 on and all...
