When your best win is the 5th best team in another conference, your schedule is dogshit

I can honestly say that I did forget that. Good point.

Thanks for reminding me that the only argument for Texas getting in was that they they beat a pretty good Alabama team that eventually became pretty great as the season went on. Of course this argument only holds up if Alabama is included in the top 4. Otherwise Texas has be left out since the lost to an avg Oklahoma team later on in season.

Listen pal, you post some good stuff and I enjoy reading your post mostly. Get with it. You are soon to be in the Club called SEC. Another post listed this past weekends tv audience numbers. Acc had 7 million, second was pac 12 with around 10 million. SEC had 18 million viewers.

Are you SEC or would you rather go to ACC or stay in that Bozo conference your in now. Quit smashing the hand that’s going to feed you real well OU.

If you think it’s about play on the field, well you’re wrong. That was years ago before all this BCS, CFP era. Disney is spending billions on producing the CFP.

They want eyeballs and to get those eyeballs, conversely need compelling games.

Is that so difficult to understand?

Look forward to having OU soon in the conference

Last year.

Think Bama, or the stinking Vols weren’t better than TCU? Yeah, neither does anyone else. But TCU was the “most deserving” so they got in.

So if you really want to blame someone for this, blame TCU for the worst performance in the playoffs we ever saw. Georgia punted once the entire game. The backups scored twice and were driving for a 3rd when they took a knee.

Nobody wanted to see that again, and on the biggest stage they had all season FSU’s offense was so bad they had one good play that was a wildcat run by the rb. Outside of that they averaged 2.3y per play. And Louisville’s defense isn’t what you’d call stellar.

You obviously misunderstood my post. I clearly said while I don't like them expanding the playoffs this was the year it would have made sense....meaning FSU deserved to be in, imo.

I hate that they were left out. I get it, but to me it isn't fair to base it on an injury to one player. Seems like the committee was trying to foretell the future, and that is something they should not do. If they were doing that, then why play the games.

In your opinion...who are the 4 teams that should have gone to the playoffs?

There is no denying that Alabama looks to be one of the best four teams right now. Do you criticize them and penalize them for scheduling a tough early season OOC game? It is just an impossible situation to be in, honestly.

I did not see the post. Out of curiosity...did they list the numbers for the B1G?

Alabama always has one of the top 4 rosters, so they should always look like one of the four best teams.

But, on what do you base yours statement? Because they beat UGA last weekend? Because it took a miracle to beat dogshit Barn the week before?

Not related to the topic at all, but you're going to single-handedly make a lot of fans hate OU fans more than they otherwise would have because you're such a bad poster

2-0 vs sec

That's the 5th highest ranked team in the SEC and one of the 4 worst teams in the SEC.

Alabama went 9-0 against the SEC.

Swap Alabama and FSU's schedules WITH TRAVIS all season and Alabama goes 13-0 while Florida State goes 11-2. 13-0 = 13-0 12-1 > 11-2

But you can't go by top 4 rosters....or Texas A&M would be in it. You have to do a combination of talent and results. For me, Alabama filled the criteria. So did FSU, Washington, Michigan and Texas. An argument could be made for Ohio State as well, to be honest.

The go down to strength of schedule. But that can be subjective, too. It's just the one year that the committee was in a lose/lose situation. Most, if not all, the other years it was fairly cut and dried. Just not this year.

Which team in the playoffs did not struggle against an inferior team?

Michigan struggled against maryland
Washington struggled against Arizona State and Washington State
Texas got beat by Oklahoma and struggled against Houston and TCU
FSU struggled against Boston College and Miami

So, you can't just pick one school and look at struggle wins unless you talk about all of the struggle wins for everybody.

I mean, Alabama beat the two time National Champions who were undefeated and ranked #1. Which of the teams had a better win?

I do think the committee got it right including Bama, with the win over UGA that propelled them

The final spot should have come down to Texas and FSU
A zero loss ACC team with two sec wins should have gotten FSU in over Texas in my opinion and if you look at AP and Coaches polls they agree. That OU loss should have kept Texas out despite the Bama win. They gave Texas way too much credit for the Bama win.

On top of that you had UGA and Ohio St on the outside looking in who were penalized for having to play two top teams late in the season.

Interconference records usually mean little without knowing the matchups.
Tell us what you expect happens if (assuming there are 10 teams)

SEC #1 vs ACC #10 - SEC Win
SEC #2 vs ACC #9 - SEC Win
SEC #3 vs ACC #8 - SEC Win
SEC #4 vs ACC #1 - ACC Win
SEC #5 vs ACC #2 - ACC Win
SEC #6 vs ACC #3 - ACC Win
SEC #7 vs ACC #4 - ACC Win
SEC #8 vs ACC #5 - ACC Win
SEC #9 vs ACC #6 - ACC Win
SEC #10 vs ACC #7 - ACC Win

ACC is 7-3 just based on matchups dipshit. Swings the other way as well.
