Conference affiliation has to go. Could you imagine auburn vs north carolina, aggie vs texas, florida vs the weather channel, lsu vs michigan, georgia vs miami. so many more would be just as exciting as the playoffs

I know your post was simply to take a shot at uf but surely you realize that the SEC has bowl tie-ins with each of those other conferences you listed right

I'd rather see a duplication of the FCS playoff system for the FBS teams than any bowl games. Every post season game should mean something. Every other football division has a great playoff system. It's time for the P5 and G5 teams to join them.

Aside from the Sugar, Orange, and Rose, I'd get rid of conference tie-ins and let the bowls bid on teams. The matchups would be infinitely better.

Why not? Tired of the sheer number of bowls and meaningless matchups. Has lost its appeal to many save for a few interesting matchups
