25 years is a good chunk of history. You act like we are looking at a small window. It is nice to be able to say we have been extremely successful since 1990. What is UGA's glory period? From 1980 until.... 1980?

atlgator,

BTW why does your pic show your coach wearing a UT shirt?

I wouldn't be surprised if Floroda suck up on someone and won 8 games or so this year.

I think you're confused. I am guessing they are talking about the program as a whole trending down which has clearly happened.

I think you would agree Florida's has been significantly down from expectations.

You've absolutely had a pretty good run since Spurrier arrived but you do know that history started before 1990, right?

You've been playing football since 1906 but every single 10 or more win season you've had all came after 1990 with most of them coming in the Spurrier run.

In fact, since Steve left even with the Meyer/Tebow run you've still had more seasons with 8 or fewer wins than you've had with 9 or more.

This is silly to discuss. Everyone knows if UF gets a good coach they will be good against, it's that simple really. '

And anyone that tries to deny that has THEIR heads stuck in the sand.

The Gators have trended down from where we expect to be . Hopefully now that Muschamp is gone we can trend back up , can't get much worse then we did with Muschamp

Not saying theey won't be a bad team BUT it took them almost about 75 years to win their 1st SECC.

Who know's,they might contend again one day but they're no guarantees in SEC FB

The perception of trending down has more to do with Urban leaving and Muschamp being fired than with records.

Forget the 80's? We had a national title taken from us as well there. Just tossing that out.

When you add the undefeated regular season in 2009 and combine it with 2008 BCS NC year....you can see what our school has achieved.

Considering we had a national championship year in 1984 erased due to ridiculous sanctions, I'd say football started before 1990 for UF.

1980: 8-4
1981: 7-5
1982: 8-4
1983: 9-2-1
1984: 9-1-1
1985: 9-1-1
1986: 6-5
1987: 6-6
1988: 7-5
1989: 7-5

Overall 1980s record: 76-38-2 (.667)

Uhhh we actually won title in 1990, Spurriers first year and it was taken away for a violation that was never proven and it occurred before HBC arrived...he still considers the 1990 team as SEC champs because they won it on the field.

Bad Karma. Things can always get worse.

Ellen: Clark, I think it'd be best if everyone went home... before things get worse.
Clark: WORSE? How could things get any worse? Take a look around here, Ellen. We're at the threshold of hell.
