agree

Miles would of ran it down their throats. Big12 defenses are more athletic than bulk, once you control the line u wear them down, and the big hogs start rail roading the undersized ends, tackles, and linebackers.

Which is one of the reasons Alabama has a new O Coordinator. Derrick Henry was gashing Oklahoma and he only gets 9 touches?

Since nearly every big12 team runs a spread, you have to be able to keep your dline out there for more than a couple of plays, so they got athletic but undersized. And was exposed by big olines in ooc and bowl games.

A few have moved away from the smaller dline and lbs.(ou being 1), and trying to get bigger and athletic.

Yeah, y'all would have beaten OSU, but that game would not have been a true NC game.

always cracks me up that Bama fans think the most productive offensive coordinator in their schools history was fired so that room could be made for Lane Kiffin

Is this really up for debate?

Rushing Offense vs. Rushing Defense

LSU (22-203 ypg) vs. Oklahoma State (90-184.92 ypg)

Oklahoma State (58-159 ypg) vs. LSU (5-90 ypg)

Passing Offense vs. Pass Defense

LSU (106-153 ypg) vs. Oklahoma State (107-272 ypg)

Oklahoma State (2-387 ypg) vs. LSU (8-171 ypg)

Total Offense vs. Total Defense

LSU (86-355 ypg) vs. Oklahoma State (107-457 ypg)

Oklahoma State (3-546 ypg) vs. LSU (2-262 ypg)

Scoring Offense vs. Scoring Defense

LSU (17-36 ppg) vs. Oklahoma State (61-27 ppg)

Oklahoma State (2-49 ppg) vs. LSU (2-11 ppg)

2011 LSU wouldn't have had to throw a single pass. Incidentally, had Stanford used this tactic on the last drive, the game never goes to overtime.

Actually, you missed a rather clever response by another Tiger who observed (in a backhanded way) that the two teams played only once in 2011, and LSU won. The BCS title game between Bama and LSU was in 2012.

Credit where it's due.

This is stupid, saying we would've easily beat them... While it certainly would have been more favorable for us to win, Okie Lite was really, really good that year and potentially could have rung up some serious points on us by half... On the other hand, we could've scored 3 defensive td's on them by half. We'll never know, and ppl downplaying OKST (or any top team that year) as nothing but a fly for us to swat is losing perspective on why they play the games. Lsu need to quit acting like Bama fans, and be a little more realistic.

Absolutely... and OKST was probably as confident in a victory going into that game as we would have been playing OKST in the BCSCG... My point is that things happen, and if a good coordinator can find just one match-up discrepency at a key position, and an adjustment is not made then it can turn a game upside down... You cant just assume a win... even the best teams have to go out and earn it by playing their best... I give you LSU/Clemson & Bama/Oklahoma/Utah... and Derek Dooley says hi.

I don't understand why people downvote this statement. It is 100% correct.
