No, but definitely this year. I just think an undefeated TCU/BSU should play Oregon before a 1 loss SEC.
I totally disagree. Any of the top5 SEC teams would demolish those teams. Until they can prove it against SEC defensive speed, I ain't buying.

I realize I'm in the minority. Like I said, just my opinion. I've had countless others that weren't looked fondly upon.

Right, because Boise's "quality" win over VT by small margin after monster early lead, and TCU's resume of Utah and SD St, are just so damned definitive!
I suggest you listen to less Herbstreit, watch much less ESPN, and stay away from AP writers..especially the left coast variety.

Until someone actually beat an SEC team in the NCG, then I think the SEC deserves a team there even if they have 1 loss.
It's not a coincidence that the SEC has won 4 in a row.

quote:Half the SEC could be undefeated with those schedules...Get up for one or two better than average teams and coast the rest of the year. TCU's best win of the season just got the shite beat out of them by a pitiful Notre Dame team. We just beat a team 51-0 the caliber of what Boise plays in their conference schedule.
Both of the non-AQ's have looked pretty dang good.
I think both of them are good teams but in order to play for a National Championship I think you have to do more to earn your spot in the big game. I don't think it's fair to the other teams in the top 10 of the BCS that are playing a schedule with 6 or 7 top 40 teams (including multiple in the top 10) and most of the other teams they play are ranked in the top 75 and are actually capable of pulling off an upset. I have no problem with TCU and Boise getting at-large berths in regular BCS bowls but I don't think they play a good enough schedule to get in the championship game. The human vote is being manipulated because the big media push is propping those teams up much higher than what their schedule warrants.
Neither of them has played a top 20 team based on computer rankings and they both play 5 teams ranked 90 or higher.
Here is the current Sagarin ranking of the teams that Boise plays this year...
21-22-30-32-64-85-86-92-104-131-155-168
Here is the current Sagarin ranking of the teams that TCU plays this year...
27-32-34-40-44-67-79-124-131-134-173-199
In comparison here is the current Sagarin ranking of the teams that LSU plays this year...
4-5-11-26-28-35-37-62-83-100-130-153
Chance of each SEC team that would be undefeated with a TCU or Boise schedule...
Alabama - 100%
Arkansas - 100%
Auburn - 100%
LSU - 100%
South Carolina - 100%
Florida - 90%
Georgia - 80%
Mississippi St. - 80%
Ole Miss - 25%
Kentucky - 40%
Vandy - 25%
