He is going to show them the buyout to put them at ease and assure them that he will be there until 2022. Nothing to see here.

If they fire Les, they will be the LSU from the 90s for another 2 decades. The program we all know and love

Who do you want as a replacement? I've always that thought is one of the top jobs in the country. Are you willing to roll the dice on a non-power 5 coach or do you want someone established? Someone to run the power I or is the West going to turn into the Big 12?

"See ya baws, I'm headed to South Beach"

Miami proceeds to return to relevance and makes the playoff multiple years in a row.

I think Les has resigned.

Les is a class act. I don't see him being the kind of man who would wait to be fired.

He's had a great run at LSU and he deserves to leave on his terms.

You may laugh but Al Golden would do so well at LSU.

He had absolutely no support from the school, the AD, nor the big money donors (A.K.A. Uncle Luke).

Well the cat is out of the bag, They forced his hand to offer to retire at the end of next season. That in itself will be a huge hit on recruiting.

The powers that be have left themselves with no option but to fire him now, and quickly hire a coach, well fairly quickly.

Les not walking away from 15, or 13 Million will Not tarnish his good name, it's the wise thing to do, looking out for his family.

So many people would do better than Les. Anybody that can put together a coherent offensive gameplan and have a tiny bit of brains to control clock management would do better.
I honestly can't tell if the people asking "Who would do better than Les?" are genuinely fricking stupid or just trolling...

Exactly, he will not walk out on 15 Million dollars unless he is truly an idiot. I hope he get every penny of it if they fire him. He has represented that University with class. He cam in and handled Katrina like a champ, won a NC, didn't turn his back on LSU when Michigan called (some here will say Michigan didn't offer and that may be the case) and he was class from top to bottom with that kid Sid from Birmingham. Les Miles will be remembered as a great coach and I think they will go through bad times before it gets better. Just my opinion.
