JMO, but A&M fans are among the best posters on this site, TA7 notwithstanding.

nope. sure, there is a segment of LSU fans that have hated Miles since day 1 and they still do. after a loss the segment gets larger and they call for his head. but you don't know the same LSU fans I do and they love Les Miles.
one thing you probably don't understand about LSU fans, the above mentioned "segment" ALWAYS wants to fire the football coach and the basketball coach and the baseball coach unless the SEC has been won. they hold the HC to impossible standards and think it's easy to fire one and hire another one better. and yes, a segment of LSU fans were calling for Nick Sabans head on a platter during the '05 season.
imo, Les Miles will never "resign". sure, he'll retire one day and it is an outside possibility that he'll be fired. if the team this year is as good as advertised and wins the SEC, Les Miles is good until he decides to step down. and LSU has the team to do it this year.

As noted, CLM or any HC for the most part will never resign. He does that, he forfeits his buyout $$. He gets fired...hypothetically anyway...and he gets a settlement and/or a full buy out of what remains on his contract. This is the only reason the Lady Tigers' HC was not fired this past season. She has one yr remaining on her contract In order for him to be promoted to the AD, Alleva has to be fired, though I am not sure how many yrs remain on his contract.

No. Not from '05 - '07 or '11. You have to be willing to put your coach on the hot seat if he is being stubborn and not making the changes he needs to make.
