As an LSU fan i will miss les miles. I suffered through archer, halman, denardo. Saban brought us back and les kept it rolling. Our fanbase will never be happy unless we beat bama regularly and never lose to ATM or arkansas.
We have a large group of fans that love les and wish he would stay but we have a larger more vocal group that is tired of the "no plan B" approach that we currently have.
The next coach has probably already been limited to 3 people and will probably be announced in 2 weeks if not sooner for recruiting purposes.
God help aleva if he turns out to be a dud.

Cant help but feel this is a grieveous error for LSU. Jimbo is a younger miles. Need a better coach than that to justify the expense.

They're not even going to let him coach the bowl game? Man, that's ice-cold. Usually when a coach isn't allowed to coach the bowl game, it's because he left for a new job or was fired for serious violations. Regardless of what you think of Miles, not allowing him to coach the final game of the season is brutal. You can have a coach-in-waiting and still let the previous coach finish out his journey with the team he recruited and trained.
