Maybe I can sheat some light on to this subject.

J. Holly Blasingame, hog fan for my whole life.

Lester Miles IS the best they will get, unless they can land a Houston Nutt type although that would be a lateral move in the mind of most. Houston wins a lot of big games but loses his share too.

I for one like Miles as a coarch. Especially when they are playing us. We seem to have his number. But he has a lot of other numbers. He has Sabans number at times and will have the number of Gus in the near future.

Infact I think if Miles has a little black book of coches he'll have the number of many coaches there.

Petrino had Miles number and he knew it. That is why I wrote, for you my friend. Petrino wanted him to stay around. I think that Richt has Cusschamps number and will continue at Auburn. Aside from Arkansas Les is very sucessful. It would be a mistake to get shed of him in my opinion.

yea, it's supposed to be the SEC rant. but it appears that aggy fans and r-Kansas fans hate LSU so bad they just can't restrain themselves when something bad happens to LSU (or is perceived to be bad).

GrandDad - Because there weren't any threads about Arkansas over the past 2 years. Okay

Is this the thread that sparked the "On a scale of 1-10, how retarded is this board" thread?

This board revolves around LSU. That's what happens when a bunch of rednecks sign up on a LSU site.

If I had a guess, it would have been the "Check in here if your team has never lost a playoff game" thread.

Actually.. If LSU were to fire Les Miles, with the amount of talent that we already have plus how talent rich the state is, it wouldn't be hard at all get big names down on the bayou. Probably could get Bert if they wanted to. Consistent winner every year. Really don't know who wouldn't want to inherit LSU if they were to fire CLM.

The SEC West as I see it is like a lava lamp. Constant rising and falling. The past few years have been LSU and Bama and Auburn. Now a new era of SEC has clearly started (see SEC West Bowl record). Teams like Arkansas (touting one of the best coaches in the sport) and ATM are coming to the forefront to lead for a few years. then the cycle will start over.

i get why LSU is frustrated. ATM just walked across the daycare floor and reached down and took a dollie away from them. Not just any dollie. THE DOLLIE. the one that everone wants! He and Rob Smith are both capable of staunching up a defense while everyone else will be looking at question marks next year.

Shoold be a great decade for the Hogs and ATM. The East is ahead in the cycle as Missou has already started their time at the top.

I just wonder how many more of these seasons that Saban can take.

I can get that Arkansas is trending up. Actually glad that they are. But there's no evidence that A&M is trending up? Horrid regular season. Never really saw any improvement. Not saying that they can't be better, especially now that they have a competent DC. I expect Arkansas to win 10 games next year. I see A&M winning 7-8 in the regular season. On par with this year. A&M is still a year or two away.

There are a lot of coaches in the SEC with a worse W-L record than Les Miles. I'd say your statement holds true for most of the SEC.

The past few years? You must have pondwater on your brain fella. Since Akry joined the SEC West in 1992 only four times has a team other than LSU, Aub or Bama won the division.

You sound like a hillbilly that doesn't have a clue.

How do you define great? I'm always amused by what the fans of teams that have never won an SEC title or a national championship in the modern era define as "great".

I guess you're right. Terrible facilities, don't pay their Head Coach and are cheap with the assistants, play in a shite conference that gets no national coverage and most importantly the state is barren of any real talent to recruit and with the likes of ULL and Tulane to compete with for the few decent recruits in the state the LSU job really is mediocre and if Miles were to leave nobody would want such a shite gig.

By my count, there hasn't been a year where a team other than Bama, Arkansas, Auburn, or LSU won the division.
