FIFY...15,000 yards, plus by mid season he will start both ways and will make every tackle for LSU's defense for the last 6 games (to make up for their drop off after losing Chief).

I don't think he will - it would require too many carries.

Chubb did it last year with 219 carries, but it was a minor miracle that he didn't get injured since the bulk of those carries came in the last 8 games after Gurley went out.

For the record, I don't think Chubb will hit 1,500 either. Both Miles and Richt should be smart enough to realize that they have other capable backs to share the load.

Easily. His total last year included him being seldom used the first couple of the season, and the coaches forgetting that he was dressed-out for the Arkansad game. That won't happen this year, as he's the #1 back on the team. I'm also willing to bet that his YPC went up in the latter part of the season as he was learning to read the holes/blocks. He didn't break too many early on.

I am going to go true based on the following...

LF is the senior most RB we have - will get 50% of the snaps.
LF has, by his own admission, learned to let the play develop in front of him and follow his blockers. He has an experienced OL in front of him.
LSU passing game will be improved - don't get crazy! I just said improved.

One thing that could work against him is if LSU starts throwing the ball to him in short passes. He is an excellent receiver. Yards are yards but that could eat into his rushing touches.

LF7 averaged about 7-10 touches/game less the first three games of the year than he did the last 10. Based on his average YPC that would have put him up around 1,200 yards rushing with Magee in front of him along with Hilliard as well. He's got Williams to spell him and the two young pups behind him to rotate in as well.

But he has the ability to increase his touches in the run game and-if he simply maintains his previous year's level of productivity-inch towards 1350-1400.

He will need to be special to hit 1,500 this year. I think he can but this is his year. Next year he will be on a bit of a pitch count. There will be an absolute STAGGERING amount of returning experienced talent in the LSU Backfield in 2016 provided all stay healthy. Fournette, Guice and Brosette are all former 5-Stars and Williams has proven he was grossly undervalued as a high 3-Star. With Ducre being a high 4-Star at FB/TB...there will be blood.

I don't care if he gets 1,500 yards rushing, as long as he produces. He should get 18-20 touches a game, with 3-5 of those being receptions. If that happens, he will be around 1,500 yards for the season.

10,000 yards on 100 carries.

Boom. 5 Heismans.

I'll take the under.

It's only happened once that an LSU RB has gained over 1,500 yards in a season, Charles Alexander gained 1,686 yards in 1977.

I just think that there will be too many options at RB to rely on one player. Look for Guice to have an impact. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU ended 2015 with two 1,000 yard rushers.

20 touches per a game is what I want to see. I'd love to ride him more but dude has an NFL career ahead of him to be concerned about. Les would be doing a disservice to him if he rides him for 30+ touches.

No way.

Miles will give someone else a ton of carries He likes multiple ball carriers.

I think the only way he gets this is if he has a huge game and rushes for 300 yards against someone. Then averages 100 yards per game in the other 12 games. Will be tough for sure. I'm saying under.

Doubt it. LF is far more talented than any other RB on the roster and he will receive the bulk of the carries this season. The others will get some carries but not enough to hamper LF's rise to GOAT status

What is the fricking purpose of this reply? This thread was started by an Alabama fan....

I agree with this. Les hasn't had anyone that has the upside LF has. LF should get 70% of the carries and if so, he may get close to 1,500. His all purpose yards should be what the bet is on. I think he will be getting thrown to regularly out of the backfield.

The only way he carries the ball 250 times is if Williams gets hurt and our freshmen rbs are not as advertised.

True.
LSU will run him 50 times a game and grind him to dust like Bama does it’s running backs.
