LSU couldn't beat anybody on the road last year even with a senior quarterback. Not even Ole Miss. Cant wait for them to come to Auburn this year. I put the over/under on an Auburn victory at 3 touchdowns

If a prior season is any indicator of success, Auburn would have lost a lot more than just the game against us and FreeShellfishUniversity

1) Bama: a Saban coached team will always be at or near the top, if Coker comes through then it'll probably be y'all's this year.

You guys are just going to run the ball 150 times a game, a blind squirrel at QB could win in Bama

2) LSU. Lsu is most productive running the rock. The three headed monster of fournette, Hilliard, and Magee is downright scary, our db's are extremely talented, and I expect Christian and Thomas to place a firm hold on the DT spot. Jennings or Harris won't have to be spectacular, just managers, but don't sleep on Dural, diarse, Dupre and Quinn. Serious talent at WR. Plus a great oline.

Ya but first year QB

3) Georgia: Gurley is the fricking man. He can carry a team on his back. I really can't wait to see what he can do this year.

Defense will be Georgia's weakness, that secondary is scary thin

4) USCE: maybe this is the year.

They lost their best QB ever, best defensive player ever, half their recruitment class is ineligible, they don't have a DLine or Secondary. They have very little experience at WR. Why people are thinking so highly of USC, especially with their schedule, is beyond me. A&M, Clemson, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Mizzou, could very easily be losses.

5) A&M: speed kills. Just not sure if that D is ready

A&M has the worst defense in the league, they lost one of their best linebackers to suspension and they lost their best WR, QB, and RB from last year. Couple that with their schedule and they will be lucky to win 4 conference games.

6) Auburn: fluke plays won't happen this year

I disagree, Auburns offense will be downright dangerous all season and they could take the West with another Win vs Bama

7)Florida: they slipped last year, but they always recruit well. Should be a good year in Gainesville

Not sold on Driskel, not sold on their offensive scheme, the defense will be good, but the schedule is not favorable.

8) Tennessee: definitely getting there

Will be terrible again, no QB, lost its ENTIRE offensive line. They will be hard pressed not to lose 2-3 QBs this year from injury.

9) Missouri: too much to overcome after a fluke year

Fluke season? How is beating every opponent by double digits and then take out the 2nd best Big 12 team in a bowl a fluke? Lets be honest, EJ Gaines play against USCe and we may have gone undefeated in conference play. With that said, we'll be a lot better then people think, Mauk is legit, we return a healthy OLine and a stable of running backs. You're going to have to score serious points to beat Mizzou this season.

10) ole miss: they're ole miss, they won't sniff a national championship this century

If Ole Miss wasn't in the west they could at least compete

11) Vandy: I really like them, just need more talent

Going to be bad, really bad

12) miss state: Prescott could change this

Miss St will beat one of the big dogs this year, upset city

13) Kentucky: on the rise, will probably move up the list in the next couple years

QB?

14) Arkansas: the worst team in the sec, they need a lot of work

Agreed, terrible

You're the type of Auburn fan that will make a disappointing season unbearable for decent Auburn fans.

Cry me a river. Plenty of LSU fans on this board have dismissed Auburn's success last year as luck and claim that success cant be duplicated again because Nick Marshall sucks as a passer. However, if you look at the last games both teams played in their bowl games, Nick Marshall looked a million times better against Florida State than Anthony Jennings looked against Iowa. Jennings looked like straight up garbage against Iowa

Tigerbait2008 shouldn't even have the luxury of posting. That post exemplifies his entire post history. It doesn't get much worse than that...

We have very little experience at WR? Have you ever heard the saying “It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt”? Mizzou fans are some of least educated football fans in the country.

FWIW, we do lose Shaw. Thankfully we return a 5th year senior that has proven to be a capable player and we have talent behind him. We lose Clowney but he took plays off last year and was very lazy so really it's an addition by subtraction there.
This is the SEC, our schedule is always tough.

Auburn fans fail to see that they will not be able to fly under the radar this, nor will they be able to play with chip on their shoulder like last year.

Ehhhh. Not saying he didn't take plays off -- even Spurrier basically admitted as much -- but that second part...ehhhh.

Thompson started two games last year, he went 30-59 with 0 TD's and 2 INT's. He had to be replaced in the middle of a game by an injured player. He played a good game against Clemson two years ago and this has qualified him as the next great thing in Columbia. If anyone is an idiot, its you.

WR catches last year:

Bruce Ellington 49 775 15.8 53 8
Damiere Byrd 33 575 17.4 76 (TD) 4
Shaq Roland 25 455 18.2 65 (TD) 5
Mike Davis 34 352 10.4 38 0
Nick Jones 27 281 10.4 34 (TD) 5
Rory Anderson 17 235 13.8 34 0
Jerell Adams 13 187 14.4 44 2

You're best returning receiver is a RB. Lets not act like you guys have a Evans or Mathews returning on your team.

Also, ya he was terrible last year.....yet still managed to occupy 3/5's of an offensive line...

Mizzou has issues at LB, CB, and WR. It's not like we don't have flaws, but to call last year a fluke is a bunch of bullshite

You have to throw lsu in the mix because they are a top 5 team nationally in terms of talent. That said, I don't see them as a title contender this year. I think its a four horse race between Bama, auburn, Uga and the cocks. Winner of sec has a great shot to win the natty.

We don't require a good QB to win. LSU on the otherhand had their best QB in many years and managed to lose three games. We aren't LSU.

We destroyed Auburn last year. You lucked your way into the NC. AU really should have had 3-4 losses minimum. Flukes dont last. 8 wins max this year for you.
