I think you entered the conversation a little late. I was asked to provide reasoning for my thinking on USCe's season. I've also already predicted USCe to go 10-2 this year in my prediction thread. Not to mention, I fostered a rather decent discussion about USCe earlier in the offseason that was void of trolling.
I could make a laundry list of similar questions for UGA, LSU, AU, Bama, etc.

You could, but you've chosen not to do so?
Hmmmmmmmmm ......

Like I said, I was asked to provide reasons for the "maybe" language placed by USCe. I did so. It obviously wasn't met favorably.

i don't really consider a legitimate title contender this year. we should contend for the SEC-w, but probably not the national championship

Still plugging away, aye?
Don't worry. Your keen insights were met favorably by people who don't have shite between their ears.

I don't have anything against the Cocks -- they're in same general range as we are, historically-speaking -- so my question isn't why people think they're not a legitimate title contender, but why USCe fans think they are. That's a much more interesting line of discussion, really. I'm personally not seeing it, but, then, I haven't heard the arguments for it. I'm not asking why fans think they'll be good -- most of us agree they'll be good -- but why they could be NC contenders.

Oh look, my stalker is back. Not surprised you think me believing basically the same thing everybody else believes makes me stupid.
Nobody outside their own fan base believes LSU is going to win or even contend for the national championship this year. When the media at SEC media day makes their predictions next week, LSU will likely be somewhere in the middle of the conference. Having to depend so heavily on true freshman wide receivers is a perfect example of why they wont win or even contend for a national championship

"Maybe," should be placed beside all the contenders' names, amirite?
Did Auburn even garner a "maybe" this time last year?
You were met with some push back by some because you seem to focus on SCAR. Do you deny that you have, at least thus far?
So let's read the "maybes" about the other contenders listed.
Here's the bottom line.
There are "maybes" for everyone. We all have our question marks. Some more or less than others.
The SEC Champion has a shot.
As Spurrier has always said, winning the SEC Championship is the #1 priority.
Make it to Atlanta and anything might happen.

I believe it's possible they can contend for it, and I'm definitely not an LSU fan, as some annoyed LSU fans can attest. So you're clearly mistaken. And, given that I also knew the names of two of their receivers, you're clearly stupid, too, for resorting to unverified absolute statements yet again. The difference between you and me is that I actually understand football and have a general understanding of how their offensive scheme works. It's not all about the skill positions, and it's not about your apparent misapprehension concerning their general reliance on wide-outs.

Fair enough. So why are y'all getting into fights with certain other fanbases for saying you won't, or at least that you're only a "possibly," then? Just out of principle?

LSU is winning it all this year. frick all y'all

In my case, I never said he was wrong. Just that his reasoning was dumb.

How does what you believe make me stupid? I couldn't give two shits what you believe. I said most people outside their own fan base couldn't name even 1 of their defensive tackles or wide receivers. When did you become a majority of people all by yourself? The same things applies to them winning the national championship

You have to realize the fanbase you're dealing with...

I completely agree. I wasn't trying to take a shot at USCe, just trying to briefly explain why it was possible that OP put "maybe" beside USCe. Then there was a shite storm, so I provided something more than brief. Then there was a bigger shite storm and OP reneged.

Fair enough again. It wasn't professional level analysis, though I'm not entirely sure he's wrong.

Also fair enough. I actually agree that the only two SEC programs I'd call great bets are the two in Alabama. But great bets have faltered before, and slightly longer shots have won it all.

Yeah, well, you can discuss it with auburnphan. He has strong ideas about that, and slightly less strong ideas about the spelling of "fan." You choose which topic interests you the most.
