Thats solid.
I bet aggy will pay over 6 for theirs which will be another unnecessary contract.

4 years do not like it.... he needs 5-6 .... imo he will be fired in 4 . I like the guy but Miss state has a hard road to win over the rest of the sec. Only so many teams can win.

I think there is a max in mississippi

Lebby just needs some time to change the culture and implement his system. Rome wasn't built in a day. By Year 3 I see no reason why he couldn't be hitting that 100,000 dollar bonus and by year 6 or 7 start getting in the 150,000 dollar bonus range.
State fans just need to be patient and give the man time!

Depends on how well he does in the portal year 1. I think he will get the NIL money in year 1 to grab a QB and some solid/serviceable WRs. He will need to capitalize on winnable game and avoid doing what freeze did this year to nuke any momentum he has going into his first full offseason of recruiting.
I hope the defense is ready to be on the field most of the game. That was the biggest “flaw”, if you want to call it that, while he was at Ole Miss. if you drove down and scored a TD in 2 mins it didn’t matter, but if you stack 2-3 30 second three and outs in a row your defense is gassed and you’re screwed.

This is correct but you can get around it. Kiffin has a max 4 year contract with the state but through the athletic foundation it increased it to 8 years total.
“

Under Mississippi state law, state universities cannot offer contracts to their employees that are longer than four years. Sports Illustrated's Ross Dellenger reported in November that Kiffin's new contract would be for "at least" eight years, with Ole Miss running the deal through its athletic foundation to work around the law

$100k for national COY
$100k for losing the Birmingham bowl
$1M for a natty? Cletus would literally sell his left nut for a natty at State
