Good Lord. I'd love to be ranked #4 at the end of the season but I'm not going to bet the family farm on it or anything. I think, and hope, we will be better this coming season then we were last year, especially if we replace the defensive talent we lost.
But the 4th best team in the country? The College Playoffs? Well we'd as happy as pigs in slop for sure but I'm not thinking that is very likely.

In reality we should be 2 or 3 with our heat level. I understand not putting us at #1 though, that belongs to Ohio State for now.

The temperature really rose with the Texas win. It was in the Monday Night Football slot the day after the NFL season ended so it got a lot of viewers.

When Allen's injury wasn't bothering him as much at the beginning of the game, he was completing passes and we were up somewhat comfortably. But then in the second half he couldn't throw for shite and our defense was left out to dry, and they still barely gave up anything
