How does it feel to know that you never represented the west in the SECCG?

Well no wonder y’all won the NC so many times during that same period. Saban isn’t some great coach, he just got lucky not having to play Vandy. Probably paid Birmingham to get such a cupcake schedule

Some years you could make argument the top two ranked teams should have played for sec title no matter division
We needle bama but they probably should have played uga this past season
Would have had a much better shot of beating them than lsu and they were higher ranked once lsu lost to Aggies

Ours will probably never look as ridiculous as the Big 12s, but having a first and second place team play another game when they were two games apart and the regular season winner having won the head to head already is a possibility. And that seems kind of stupid without divisions.

The Big XII looks stupid because they play a complete round-robin schedule, which makes a championship game totally irrelevant. Yes, the scenario you mention will certainly be possible in the new divisionless SEC, but at least the fact that all teams will play different schedules means that a championship game still has a reason to exist.
