Last year Auburn was playing checkers while LSU was playing chess

We were focused on simply winning the game while LSU was focused on winning the war. Auburn loses the Tiger Bowl and today we possibly have Kiffin or Kelly roaming the sidelines and Miles is still in BR. Instead we got the victory and LSU was able to move on to the future with Coach O.

So get this, when LSU hired Saban, he lost to UAB. Ended up winning a title a few years later and built a program strong enough to compete for many years. He goes to UA and loses to ULM in his first year. A couple years later he wins a natty.
I'm not comparing O to Saban, but let's see how this thing plays out before we all lol at the Troy loss.

Saban does not control where his assistants go after they leave, and he damn sure does not control who Auburn hires. You can make fun of Auburn all you want(most of the time I will pile on), but Auburn does not hire coaches with a losing record. LSU is the only "big time" program I have seen do that.

I know you are probably a side walker who only started paying attention to Bama around the end of the 09 season but Gene Chizik had a losing record when he was hired at Auburn.
