Everyone had two permanent cross divisional games until 2002.

We usually play Florida first so we haven't won our sec opener since Bushs first term, iirc.

Wasn't trying to be facetious or dickheaded, I legitimately thought you were in your 40s or 50s.

ETA: I wasted my 20,000th post on that. Jeebus

It's not hard to have a long winning streak when you schedule perennial bottom dwellers of the SEC as opening opponents

Then again, when your team goes 0-8 in SEC play your streak is going to end no matter how you schedule them. But going 0-8 is something only garbage heap programs ever have to worry about.

For some reason I always thought that too.

Sorry, geauxnavybeatbama, you post older than you are.

2014. And 2013. And 2012. And 2011. And 2010. And 2009. And 2008. And 2007.

We waxed that Vandy arse by 2 points in 2006, though.

The last time Alabama fell in an SEC opener was September 14, 1991 when they were shutout 35-0 at the Swamp.

Ole Miss has only ever won once in Tuscaloosa.

I think 2012 @ Georgia. That wasn't the last SEC loss in 2012 either.

Last time I remember was 1975 and Auburn lost to Memphis State....I was so pissed I broke up with the girl after the game I had been dating for awhile. Sounds extreme, but it was time for her to go -- game just accommodated the change. Terrible for Auburn, but I was moving on up!
