Was his wife at the game? I saw pics of him and his kids but didn't see her. Are they still together?

Why would he take a step down for the same position?

Yea I saw her in the background of a picture. I don't think she was at many others, though. I know his kids were there at Auburn, I didn't see them much at other games.

That is the definition of a lateral move, and he is having more success at Alabama than he would at UCLA.

Anyone that thinks that Alabama, or any SEC school for that matter, can run with UCLA in women, is fricking high.

I see it as a step down. Same job at a lesser program, not to mention high state taxes and cost of living. There are only a few schools where taking the same job he has at Bama at another school, would be a lateral nice. Ucla isn't one of them.

Do yall think UCLA is a bunch of hot blondes like their dance team running about campus?

It is a high quality university, heck I wouldn't be surprised if it consisted of 50% asians. Add in other minorities and I wouldn't be shocked if whites were outnumbered by a good margin.

It isn't a bunch of blonde california bombshells running around

Because taking it would mean he would have to live with his wife.

I guess you're unaware of the current situation.

I meant lateral as in a football sense. Either even or backwards.

They both have beautiful women. Difference is, UCLA's beautiful women are much more interested in sleeping with the casting director than the offensive coordinator

This. I know L.A. has a lot of beautiful women but I was pretty underwhelmed when I went out there for the UCLA/Bama game in 2000. Spent 5 days out there and by far the hottest girl out there was a fellow Bama student we knew and met up with while out there. That may not mean much but people act like there are multiple 10s every direction you look and that wasn't my personal experience at all hanging out in Hollywood/Santa Monica, Malibu, Pasadena and the gAmerican itself.

So are you asking... why leave the best OC job in the top conference for the... at best... 4th or 5th best OC job in the second or third best conference?

Well shite, who could turn that down!

Look UCLA could go on a huge run in college football, they have the talent base. But right now they are lurking behind some fairly good teams in the Pac-12. Why go there when you are at Alabama?

He's got job security at Bama. No reason to leave and get fired because of Jimmy Mora.

It's a no brainer. Bama > UCLA. With the money he's making, just about any city in the US can be nice to live in.

Have you seen his wife? It's not like he just he snagged someone one night at a speed dating event. She can hold her own with the competition I'm sure.
