i guess he hasn't been watching the pac 10 get their asses handed to them in the bowls. i'd love for them to play bama or lsu. it'd be a 20 point game like oregon was.

i don't like the hype and pre-season top five love they are getting next year. they have done nothing to earn it. they have beaten one quality team (it took a 30 yard missed f.g. by the ducks to do it) and lost to a terrible, as u.s.c. does each year, a.s.u. team.

To think this team is being pimped for a n.c. run next year is pathetic. Much like OU this year. Lets put them at the top because of who they don't play vs who they play because we think they can go undefeated. (undefeated trumps quality competition) this is bad for college football.

How would YOU have answered this question if you were Kiffin?

like this, I don't know. I came from the s.e.c., they are a tough conference. Our conference is a little down this year. I think we would certainly be competitive. However, lsu and bama are two of the best teams, if not the best two teams in the country. I'm not sure we are on that level yet. We are building a program that we hope will be in the years to come. I think we are close based the results this year.

when you have credibility issues like kiffin, where you are known for not being truthful, i think you restore your reputation by being truthful.

maybe so but how is that proving what kiffin said wrong? would SC only play bama and LSU all year long? What makes you think they wouldn't be capable of winning the other 10 games?

well, considering they couldn't beat all the average to below average teams (like A.S.U.) in the pac 12, i'd have my money on them dropping another game to Arkansas, AU, U.S.C., u.g.a., vandy, miss st. ect. therefore, no 10 win season.

If we played 10 times i think it would be 8-2 bama (im giving them the hypothetical 8 to be nice)

The SEC's a great conference; great front sevens--that's where your difference is.

I guess he hasn't been watching. The SEC does have great front sevens, but the secondaries have been phenoms as well, Thus, IT IS the total 11 or total defense. He would never admit it, but Barkley would look very pedestrian playing in the SEC against stout defenses....that is the difference!

I'd take Kiffin over Dooley. True story.

I don't see how they wouldn't be able to win 10. Look at Arkansas and Georgia. I would pick USC over the either of them.

I'm not saying it's a lock or anything, but outside of LSU and Alabama, the SEC wasn't anything special this year.

Do you know how good ASU was to start the season before injuries destroyed them? Hell, the lightning to their thunder running back was shot before the season. Injuries decimated their secondary. They were a legit top 10 team to start the season.

Why? Because he's a Pac 12 Qb? Would Aaron Rodgers have looked pedestrian? Are SEC defenses tougher than NFL ones? Why didn't Peyton or Eli look pedestrian?

lsu started the season with their back up qb and one of their top wr's suspended. They beat the living sh!t out of your champ. They had to beat teams w/o their starting rb, w/o their heisman candidate, w/o two of their top three corners, w/o their starting center, w/o their starting left guard, w/o their starting saftey.

if you are legit, injuries don't make you turn into a non competitive team. By season's end, a.s.u. wasn't even competitive. Isn't that why erickson was fired? you must be assuming other teams haven't had to deal with injuries.

maybe the s.e.c. was down, even w/o lsu or bama it's on par with the pac 10 this year. have you not watched boise destroy a.s.u. (who waxed u.s.c.), washington had 67 put up on them last night, cal got it handed to them by TEXAS.

no doubt in my mind u.s.c. drops a game, (since they did in the pac 12) to at least another s.e.c. outside of bama or lsu.

I missed the Boise-ASU game. But I did see them wax Georgia.

I didn't say they would go undefeated besides those 2, who knows what the schedule draw would have been. Georgia and USCe (forgot about them) managed to win 10 games and didn't play either of them. I agree, the PAC is about on par with 10 of the SEC teams. And yet they managed to win 10 games.

because he would have to fit passes into tighter window's under a lot more pressure.

yep aaron rogers. that's it. they are all like aaron rogers.

matt leinart
kyle boller
akili smith
joey harrington
cade McNown
ryan leaf
jake plummer
Derek Anderson
dennis dickson
Mark Sanchez

(carson palmer did have some success, so i'll give you him)

now figure how the s.e.c. has helped prepare/develop guys like

Peyton manning
Eli manning
Cam Newton
Matt Stafford
Tim Tebow
Jay Cutler

for the s.e.c. not being a qb conference and all defense, they have put some solid qb's in the n.f.l. a much higher % than most conferences.

ALthough, your statement is probably accurate, I can't see how a coach would not pump his team up as high as he can.

If Mike Leach made this comment about his team, nobody would believe it, but Kiffin, in my opinion did sound plausible with his opinion and I don't blame him for making it.

I'm very interested to see how he and USC handles the scholarship sactions going forward. They can only take 15 players each of the next 3 years. They could have a good year in 2012, but after that it will most likely be very rough riding.

LK is an overrated assclown.
He went to Tenn. said how he was going to turn it around and dominate the SEC East then like a lil bitch ran off with a prettier girl on to find out she had crabs and warts.

Good luck out there in Cali. When the run is over keep your arse out of the SEC you soulless f...

Edited to remove obscene language.
I hate that mf'r LK.
