He hasn't been told to look elsewhere yet. In time Bama fans will agree and in fact a lot agreed when he was hired.

Meh on the last part of your post.

Don't say that too loud. Tennessee fans might get upset.

It won't look bad at all. I'll be thankful for what he pulled off at Bama, it'll be next man up, and it won't be a Kevin Steele type hire. Bama will Bama again next season. A perennial powerhouse.

Not at all, just fricking off in thread on a Sunday.

I thought you would pick up on it, but I guess my expectations were too high.

It's more likely to be a "who the frick is that?" hire. Kiffin is the only well-known OC hire we've made. Nobody knew who McElwain or Nussmeier were at the time they were hired.

Meh, I won't miss him particularly.

He did a better job than I thought he would, but he did plenty of dumb stuff too.

He tries to be too clever in his play calling. When it works you look like a genius, when it doesn't you ask "Why the hell were we doing that?"

He called plays like he had Peyton Manning at QB.

Regardless, like I said, he did much better than I thought. I thought he'd be a disaster and he did at least a very good job.

Plus, him leaving should not come as a surprise. It was clear his time at Bama was going to be very short.

He was either going to do well and move on to something else, or do badly and get fired, all in a 1 or 2 years.

The offense was alright last year. Defense was what made everyone cringe.

Saban is going to call plays next year. He can yell at himself for not running the ball enough.

The offense was very streaky though. They'd pile on points like crazy and then absolute DISAPPEAR for a quarter, a half.

I'm talking like 3 and out every possession.

It was maddening that sometimes you just pour on points like crazy and then other times it was a barren wasteland.

Very inconsistent, made for some strange games.

Nature of the QB under center. He made some dumb decisions that derailed drives fairly often. He had games where it all clicked and he had games where it didn't. I wouldn't blame Kiffin for the offensive inconsistencies.
