Do you regret being a fan of a school you could not get into?

All jokes aside, I regret every single player that contributes to Alabama's success that LSU could have pulled.

Sitting behind draft picks as a freshman and sophomore doesn't mean you're a bust, it means you play for a good football team.

I don't think he'd be a first round pick if he came out this year, but he wouldn't make it out of the second. 260 pound pass rushers with a first step like his don't make it out of the second. He would be the best pass rusher lsu has and an every down starter there, I don't think that debatable. If he comes back, he probably ends up a top 10 pick, but I'd bet whatever you want to wager he'll be a first rounder if he plays at Bama next season

We passed because of character issues.
Guy is talented though.

He is a situational player but a very very good one.
When he got that sack against Treon i was sure they were gonna throw a flag for offsides...he is just that quick

Yes he would have been because we were so thin there. Sorry he will have to be an every down player in order to be considered as a first or second round draft pick. He is 230ish no were near 260 and he won't be playing DE in the NFL. He will be OLBer at the next level.

He was 225 when he got to Alabama 3 years ago. He said himself after the SECCG that we weighs 260 now. Maybe he's lying, but I think he'd have a better idea than you would, and he's certainly packed on more than 5 pounds in 3 years

Wrong.
Following the team’s 29-15 win over Florida, Williams said he is up to 260 pounds. “Me coming in my freshman year, I was a little undersized so I just mainly had to get my weight up, get my strength game up because I already had the speed and quickness,” Williams said. “I just had to focus on getting more powerful and stronger.”

Solid player that we didnt make a huge push for. We didnt push for Lacy due to grades and that was more a regret for me. Williams is good but we didnt push hard for him for whatever reason when (with him being at U high) the coaches had every reason to know every single thing about the kid as just about every coach who has a high school age son goes there. Maybe hes a kid who just needed to get away that happens in a good way for a large number of kids not just including those who play sports. I hate that he went to Bama but thats the way it is. Like I said though of the ones we didnt recruit Id pick Lacy. Out of all of the ones that left CRob is obviously the biggest. Devall wouldnt have fit our system. Hootie we replaced with a better player the WRs havent done anything too special. The two big ones are Crob and Lacy.

Well then either he is lien or Bama needs to do a better job of updating their roster. They have him listed at 6'4 230. So either he has only gained 5 pounds since arriving on campus or he has gained 30 pounds since the start of the season

Missing out would imply that we were out recruited for him. Considering that I know someone that was in the room when his attempted commitment to LSU was turned down, that is not the case.
Now did we miss on an evaluation of him as a player and likely as a person? Yes. But Chavis thought he wouldn't be a good linebacker.
Other people Chavis thought wouldn't be good linebackers include Kenny Young, Debo Jones, Denzel Devall, and Kendall Beckwith.
Have I mentioned frick Chavis?

He must be "lien" because college football rosters are always very accurate with measurables, forty times, etc.

Not saying that but 30 pounds off?

Do you really think they update these heights and weights?

First part isn't debatable, but to say he would be an every down starter here is just wrong. I think he was going to be a LB here anyway. He fits great into Alabama's scheme, but he wouldn't be half as productive here. He can't stop the run so he wouldn't sniff the field until 3rd downs. That being said, it would be interesting to see what he would be like as a LB at LSU. He would be bigger than Debo, and probably just as fast. Has the physical tools to be a great LB here, but its hard to say how good he would be without watching him play in that role. Its a very instinctive position.
But to the OP, its not like Alabama stole him from us. We passed on him. We missed on him in terms of talent evaluation. Just have to clarify because of how horribly ignorant our fans can be when they see a Louisiana guy doing well from another state and assume Les can't recruit. Especially with the gross exaggerations of Bama coming into LA and getting whoever they want. The vast majority of LA players on Bama's rosters over the last decade have either been busts or we did not go after them much.
