Did LSU offer to pay UF's way? I'm not sure about UF, but I believe Auburn makes about $3 mill in revenue for a home game.

They're getting nothing this weekend.

They were waiting till it became too late to move it.

This is not what we cared about. This was just an option presented to them. They could have moved it anywhere they want.

So now the storm is too powerful for a game in Florida or Louisiana?

I think they waited until they could be more certain of the storm's path. Being retired from an executive position in the insurance industry I spent years tracking storms to try and anticipate where I was going to need to send people . Notorious case for me Hurricane Opal. I went to bed with Opal a Cat 2 headed to Texas, which was not t my territory only to wake up the next morning with it headed straight to the Gulf Coasr and up through Alabama, my territory. I had to scramble.
I would think people from LA would know this. So L5U didn't get the game moved to a home game for you, but wth what is expected from this stom, I do not blame UF for not wanting to travel. They waited as long as they could to make the decision.ye
Oh, and Yes, Bg 2. :

Funny, the South Carolina athletic dept made this same thing happen last yr. LSU paid all of its expenses as well. Is it is a coincidence that Fla's entire DL is banged up, it's starting QB as well...and that all would more than likely be ready to play in Nov?

Any time..... any place....any day. We've proved it. We moved a home game to Tempe AZ rather than cancel. WE moved a game to a frickin Monday night rather than cancel....both due to hurricanes, Bubba.

So what's the gator handbags excuse?

You are talking about what happened after a hurricane. There was no unkown then. You were in clean up mode at that time. This is a devastating storm that will hit Gainesville less than 24 hours before a football game is played. Lives are at stake. A football game is meaningless right now. It's all about priorities right now.
