Uh maybe because he was driving wreckless! Hence the term wreckless driving.

Glad you looked it up! You answered your own question. You don't have to wreck to be arrested for "wreckless" driving.

In Alabama, not only can you be arrested the law calls for a minimum of 5 days in jail.

Just excessive speeding and you're probably only getting a citation. Do something really outlandish and you're going to the local county jail.

Had a friend recently get arrested for this... she was testing out her new camaro driving i think maybe 117 or 107 can't remember. she went to jail. pretty sure it is anything 20+ over the speed limit and they can arrest you.
