We will see after he gets drafted (you can't forgo MLB draft. They can still draft anyone) and how much that signing bonus is. He can always go back and play football if he doesn't work out in the minors.

there are some ways to not be considered, like not giving them a drug test or some shite like that for example. And even then, why even waste a top pick on him if he is publicly talking about rejecting his offer and it looks like you will have to murder your draft pool to get him to sign?

Guy honestly looks like he has some midget in his face.

Wish I was kidding.

At his height I'm actually not surprised.

Now to get to the actual discussion.

The general consensus from Texans not wearing maroon, is whatever. Allen is the high school team I follow and having Kyler here to be part of the state title runs was great. If you watch the games though, you are not floored and feeling this is the next great QB.

You cannot deny the fact that Murray won games (like all of them :)), but he did not do it by himself. Allen had some solid teams all around. When plays broke down, which seemed to be where he shined, he was a faster person than the other high school kids. That is about to end at the next level. His passing never wowed anyone and reverted to scrambling more than he should.

He may light it up for the Aggies, however you do not reload JFF.

"He's Johnny 2.0" Now that's setting the bar really high. JF's best in college was finishing...3rd in the West". Course, he was "destroying them in his pro day" preparing for the NFL draft. Course, he was in shorts & a T shirt & being chased by a broom. Small steps, aggies, one small step at a time. Rather than focusing on Atlanta, you should be focusing on having a winning record against SEC teams with a winning record.

He's a better passer right now than JFF was at the END of his Heisman season.

If you read any scouting report from last year, they are almost consensus that he would have been the #1 recruit in the country at 6'1. He's only 17 (still). Every QB scout raved about his mechanics, arm strength, and footwork. His dad is one of the most respected QB coaches in the country.

Allen has had good talent around him, but so does every 6a team in Texas. Allen on the other hand had 0 defense, and Kyler often had to carry the team himself.

If you actually watched Allen High School play it was clear that Kyler essentially did whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. He was down something like 3 td's in the State Semifinal and ended up winning by 2-3 TD's.

Now will it all translate to the SEC? Who knows. Should he be heralded as a great prospect? Yes. You don't get ranked in the top 25 in the country, at two different sports by accident.

I genuinely don't understand why people are so butthurt about him, especially LSU fans.

If LSU fans want to be salty about a Texas recruit it should be Damarkus Lodge, who chose Ole Miss even after LSU took his Division 2 prospect QB

That's just not true. Kyler is worshipped by all in texas. When he tweeted a picture of a burnt orange #1 jersey, his name trended nationally for several hours, and for a couple days in the Texas markets.

Every recruiting site, analyst, ESPN, Gatorade, and almost anyone who's watched his film disagrees with you. He has great accuracy in both the lateral and depth sense. He throws a great ball, which will only get better as he gets stronger. His athleticism is great, but it's just a bonus. Literally the only knock on him is size, which very likely could change as he is a year younger than the rest of his class.

I was about 5'6 at his exact age right now, and i'm 6'3. Kevin's family is tall, Missy is about average for a woman.

In 2 and a half years at Allen he passed for over 10k yards and rushed for over 4k yards while scoring almost 190 TD's between them. He also only seemed to get better when his team was down and led them to multiple big comeback wins in the process of going 43-0 over his career.

You can never tell if any player will make it at the next level for certain but I would never bet against Kyler, especially because I remember watching his Dad absolutely destroy everything in his path, including Auburn with Bo Jackson in his last game.
