The Founders suites look cool. But they cost $15 million plus donations for a 15 year lease. Even if I had the money, spending over a million a year to watch football just seems so dumb to me. How many kids could you send to college for that amount of money?

Businesses can sometimes justify the expense to attract clients and whatnot. On the whole, though, I'm with you. They're still cool.

And it's not like people won't be watching football. There are 102,733 seats from which one can watch the field!

not really. I've done it. It's better than being behind glass for sure but you're not really in the atmosphere.

At least a lot of pro suites now have seating. Do these?

Each new suite has 2 rows of outdoor seating.

Do you have a urinal at your house? No? So you pee sitting down? No? How's that? Oh..that's right...in this country, it's typical to pee standing up, even when peeing in a standard commode. How could I have been so incredibly stupid as to forget something so obvious?

Well yeah it is, but not in a public bathroom.

I just figured the urinal was out of view.

Sure when you think about the cost it's quite silly. Personally I'm not much of a suite kind of guy to begin with. Sat up there once with free tickets and honestly would rather have been in the south endzone.
If I had a suite at Kyle, I think I'd want one of the suites at the top of the East first deck, right behind the students and the band. That's the best of both worlds--sit outside and you're virtually a part of the student section, but you've got AC, a bar, kitchen, and restroom facilities handy.

Yes, they are nice, nicer than any other suites I've seen, if we're looking at it from a standpoint of construction and cost. But, I don't get it. It's a college football game and there is a grand piano and chandeliers? I think you guys were so fixated on figuring how to build the most posh suites that you didn't stop to ask why. But, again, they're nice as shite. Congrats, I guess.

Because when you build something this nice you can charge 1 M a year for each suite. Then the next tier down is probably similarly priced. But maybe not. Maybe their only a quarter of the price. If there are 120 suites ta Kyle. 12 @ 1 M ea. 108 @ 250K (random #). That is 39 M in revenue from suites in a year. So in 13 years the suites alone could pay for the cost of Kyle.

They are really nice, but most others have addressed my questions with the 'why' factor.

When I go to games I want to be in the atmosphere, not behind glass near it.

College Station is not big, so what corporations are filling these suites? Do big wigs from Houston and Dallas fly in weekly?

College Station is an hour from Houston and a few hours from Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin.

is the gold hi-liting a nod to Mizzou and our dominance at our "southern retreat"?

You people get very defensive. I didn't say there were not rich alumni, but those look like corporate suites. A&M is not a big city, and I can't imagine people flying to a game from Dallas on a Saturday if they don't like A&M.

Just relax
