I'm anxiously awaiting the nickname his family is going to trademark.

Let's do some brainstorming to start the process:

Kyle "the Vile" Allen
Kyle "Not Brandon" Allen
"Futile" Kyle Allen

That is what everyone said about Johnny.

How could people have said that when Johnny was the starter at the beginning of the year and not getting his first start in the 9th game of the year

No, they don't understand you need a running game outside of a scrambling QB

This. Our running schemes are a joke. They're simple, predictable, and unwarranted. I really thought after the McKinney demotion that Spavital would fix this but he's taken the same course his predecessor has which is a crime, imo. We have 2 kids who were 5 stars coming out of high school. They're good and very capable. And they waste away on the bench because none of them can ever get 10 carries a game, and when they do get an opportunity, it's blown up because the defense knows what's coming. It's not a zone read if hill never keeps the damn ball every once in a while. It's like "here you go, run that way, and don't get tackled" Pathetic.

While Kyle Allen has been a bit pick prone the one thing I can give him is he does make quicker decisions in the pocket than Hill.

It sounds crazy but perhaps something so small really could be the main reason the offense has bogged down so much. It kind of reminds me of when Sherman was rolling with McGee at QB and the dude for whatever reason would wait entirely too long to get it out of there which consistently screwed the play.

Fair point.

I haven't been able to watch much of yall but if this is the case regarding your run game, then that's half of your problem that needs to be addressed. You ve got to have the QB keeping the ball even if he isn't a true dual threat QB. You've gotta keep the defense honest. We were extremely predictable in 2009 with Chris Todd at QB. We had a very solid OL, but our running game was definitely crippled by having a pocket passer at QB.
