Failure. Cal was barely hanging on in public opinion before the season and a loss today would result in pure anger and hatred directed at Cal. It would be exacerbated by the fact Reed Sheppard is basketball royalty in the state and Cal would be the scapegoat for failing him during his likely only season. It would be very, very bad.

With Cal and this team, nothing would surprise me. We could lose tonight, or win it all. It's just that way.
If we lose tonight, I will just shake my head and go on with life. We are used to it by now.
