Kenny Hillaird, John Diarse, Travin Dural and Jalen Collins were better on Saturday than Kwon.

Kwon had some poor plays early on, but had a great second half.

Kid wanted to goto Bama. Bama backed off because of knee issues. Auburn recruited him hard, but he ended up going outa state. Auburn could really use him. Wish we had gotten him to stay.

that aint saying much though hell, we havent had a legit LB since Tuberville left. last one that even COULD have been a legit LB was Eltoro Freeman and thats been what, 4 years?

From Miles presser today... "Kwon was Def MVP"

I will agree with you on Dural though. He put several upcoming DC's in a panic with his performance Sat. He will require doubling up which will unload others to run in single coverage. He is lightning in a bottle and showed great ability to catch it.

Saban pulled his offer after his knee injury senior year bc he's a disloyal TPOS

Eta: not that I'm complaining

Contrast that with CLM sticking by Davon Godchaux after he destroyed his knee last season. I bet he never thought he would be playing substantial downs in Game 1 this season at DT.

With all the bitching and moaning we LSU fans do about keeping the fence up, the best player on the field Saturday for LSU was/is from Alabama??
the best player on Arkansas' defense is also from Bama and was committed to Bama until Saban fricked him over

Kwon is a stud. Our best defensive player. Period. He's the only player on the front 7 that I have 100% confidence in. We have some other talented guys up front, but kinda skeptical. You take Kwon away, our front 7 drops multiple levels. And we have good backups... But we still drop a lot without Kwon.

It's amazing that he's still this good after multiple knee injured in high school.

And he is a great fit for a Chavis LB. Maybe not the best fit for Saban Lbs, but still would be a really good player if he was at Bama. But he's a great fit with us. Speed, athleticism, and a sure tackler. He's in store for a monster year and most likely off the to NFL after this season.

I mean I think both Alabama teams wanted him, but just didnt work out with numbers, BC they backed off after injury. Its not like we stole him in a heated recruiting battle.

I think he did have commitablr offers from both schools, but wasn't being pressed.

Doubt Gus really cares. He seems to be doing fine without Kwon. Better than LSU since he has been at Auburn if you look at the big picture.

Yes you are.

So...are you complaining that you got a player from Alabama that was the best player on your team last week, or are you complaining that Bama and/or AU folks aren't complaining enough that he went to LSU?

I think that Kwon and Tim Williams are comparable talents. I think Kwon fits better in LSU defense and Williams fits better in bama defense. Seems like a pretty even trade off to me, although Williams found himself in the doghouse this summer, so, maybe LSU got the better end of the deal.
