Kudos to the SEC network for the baseball tournament coverage this year

The best coverage for that event I've ever seen and you can have a quality team without Finebaum on there.

Move the championship game start time up in the future to around noon or 1, only change I would make.

I do think Hoover is getting a little stale and tired. Just like hoops tournament, maybe it's time to take it to another venue to see what the response would be but not abandoning Hoover.

I'm not advocating NOLA, Zephyr Park stadium has not aged well.

Maybe the new Biloxi stadium or the stadium in Pensacola

Would increase attendance with plenty of beaches around. But, make sure it ends before Memorial Day weekend.

Just put it on a rotation. You can have it as far north as Kentucky (Louisville Slugger Field - Reds Triple A affiliate) or as far south as Florida to cover all of SEC territory/proximity.

I second your thoughts about the SEC Network and their baseball coverage.

it usually starts at 1 so I am not sure why it moved. I was on the other side of the interstate within a mile by way of the crow and we never got the heavy rain that the met got. It looked like great crowds. I did not know the final 4 was single elimination but it makes sense because teams are running out of starting pitchers.

It would not surprise me if this year's tournament came in the top 10 of total attendance.

I didn't especially care for staying up until 1 every night to watch all our games that "start at 8 pm"

Kill the first round and just do top 8 teams

The new stadium in downtown Birmingham is extremely nice. I'd be I. Favor of having the tourney there at times. I might be in the minority but I'm a fan of the Met.

I don't think that either Biloxi or Pensacola are large enough. Biloxi also has a wall that would prevent temporary seats or seating in the outfield. Pensacola looks like you could get enough temporary seats and outfield seats to handle the crowd.

You could eliminate the early games at the met and have them played at REgions field. You would have start times with 2 games starting at the same time and ESPN would have to have 2 crews out unless they chose to only show the marquis match up.

I still like the 12 teams as it allows more to continue playing otherwise you would only have 8 out of 14.

Pensacola might be big enough, I heard the announcer say Saturday's attendance was 10,000 and some change. And the Met was pretty full. The roads are shite to get there though. I think Pensecola would be pretty neat. Isn't the contract for Met up in 2016?

What if you dropped the 12 and worked it so all of the teams in it would benefit from the double elimination rule? It sucks to watch a team go so far and be removed with one loss.

I agree. The SECN killed it. I know the fall is where we make all the money, but the Sring is what really makes the SECN important

I'm feeling it. Right by the casinos. I'd make the trip. If not there then Memphis.
