Does anybody know if it has anything to do with his current gig with ESPN? Does he just want to live in SEC country? Does he want to get the hell away from the OSU situation? Or is he just another one of these carpetbaggers?

It has been conspicuous how ESPN's supposed #1 college football analyst has not said a word about the Tressel situation. That is unless I am missing something?

Probably intentionally. Like when a guy who is calling a game isn't allowed to pick the winner. It might also have something to do with Herb not really working in the off season and being in the middle of moving.

Could it also be he just wants to move south, to some nicer weather. C-Bus is not the greatest climate for oh lets say 6 months out of the year. But yes I can see how being the face of ESPN CFB could cause him some grief with the gobs of tOSU fans everywhere in Ohio.

Herbstreit is a good guy, He went to my high school, have met him on several occasions, my sister knew him in HS. Very down to earth everytime I have talked to him.

The moment I started to dislike Kirk was at the Ohio State/UM game in 2007.

We went into the stadium early(were sitting in the third row) and Kirk enetered the stadium from the stands. He had like 6 bodyguards around him and was as tan as Snookie on a good day.
I instantly looked at my friend and said
"God he looks gay."

Either way, I tend to respect his opinion on ESPN, but yeah, he's hated by a lot of tOSU fans.

This. I fly there for work. It sucks. Why Nashville? What the hell is there? (other than the people who keep me employed)

I admit Nashville sucks but I doubt Plano, Texas is any better.

You can probably imagine though how loved or hated he is in the horseshoe. I am sure he would either be harrassed or surrounded by autograph seekers. Sometimes a brother just wants to watch a game in peace. But yes he is a little Snookie'esque
