if he wins 7 games, he is PROBABLY safe, and deservedly so.
If he goes 7-4, yes he will be back next year. That likely means losses to LSU, Florida State, Georgia, and South Carolina. But with that kind of record, he will still be on the hot seat going into next year. a 3-9, 7-4, 7-5 type of stretch will not keep you a job at Florida.

IF the Gators have another losing season, Muschamp WILL be on the hot seat NEXT year.
If he has another losing season, he's probably gone. He MIGHT be able to survive 5-6, but that's still a stretch.

Zook only lasted 3 years and his worst season was 7-5. Last year was their first losing season since 1979. Surviving two of them in a row? What coach at a college football program of Florida's caliber has survived back to back losing seasons?

TL:DR If he doesn't get two bowl bids and a top 25 ranking in December through the next two years, he will be gone.

I would rather know the opinions of UT fans if he were to become the UF coach.

If Florida finishes under .500 Muschamp is gone. Ron Zook was fired after 3 years and he never had a losing record.

Boom had the gators in the game until the 4th quarter against Bama

No he didn't. They scored on a fumble return, and their two TD "drives" were gifts off turnovers.

Nothing Boom did contributed to Florida's 21 points.

Florida was never in the game and the illusion that they were in the game was created by Alabama making silly mistakes. How douchie do I sound right now? frick you, I don't care. Roll Tide.

Gee...when was Boom OC? I thought he was a defensive coach? Elephant breath...nothing he did contributed to 21 points? Well....our unforced fumble early in the 3rd qt when we had just gotten a turnover was crucial. Saban didn't do anything to deserve the resulting TD drive then?

Bama beat us...we sold out on stopping the run and Sims burned us good. We held rushing yds advantage at halftime...but our offense was a 3 and out machine...in the 4th qt you finally got Henry cranked up some....but you know our run defense was stout. Our pass defense wasn't.

Losing to a better team is not a problem. He might If they don't make it to a bowl game this year.

Boom has been fired. Errbody but the florida fanbase knows that.

Foley will hire an offensive coach like Chad Morris to finally have an identity on that side of the ball.

Nah. Kiffin will work at Bama for the next four or five years leading to a few national championships. Meanwhile, tDecline continues in full effect at LSU. During their next stadium renovation they change their field to astroturf. Les Miles takes offense and resigns.

Kiffin to LSU.

No one even knows if Smart can stand on his own as it is. Doubt Florida would follow Boom with an unknown quantity, especially a DC.

i keep wondering how long we're gonna have smart. seems he woulda already tried his head coaching chops at this point. i cant see us making him the hc after saban leaves. even though it works out sometimes, i think its dumb to hire a hc at a top program that has never been a hc.

He had a train wreck season with ungodly injuries last year, but he is still just 2 years away from the Sugar Bowl.

Ole Miss and Missy State would BOTH cream in their pants for that kind of success at this point. Hell, so would SC and Arky.

SC? The same SC that has had 3 straight 11 win seasons?

I really don't think so. He has yet to do something to get fired. Had he lost to UK then it would be possible. He may well get fired but he is not fired as of now.

Apparently everyone else who saw the game is wrong, cause the rest of us with eyes thought if Bama hadn't givent y'all the ball you wouldn't have scored at all. Who cares about your run defense? You got threw on for 450 yards.

Kiffin as a HC is a shite show. He doesnt do it well

Yeah unless he matures a lot he will never be successful as a head coach. He may not stay at Bama for more than a year or two but when/if he does take a HC job it will have to be at a smaller school where he can prove himself

If Kiffin is smart he will stay coordinator. Seeing as how is a deluded narcissist and is in fact, very stupid, I expect he will take the first decent HC he is offered. Whatever school thinks it's a good idea to hire Kiffin as HC deserves exactly what they get.
