I met a ut student once want to hear why she thought Dooley was a better coach than Lane?
Lane was a jerk because when he would go to the deli he didnt want to take any pictures with anyone while Dooley would be willing to take a picture with anyone.
She probably never met either. Kiffin would've been all over letting a woman take a photo whereas Doolz was an anal retentive arse. Kiffin had far more superficial charm than Dooley although it's true Kiffin could be strange as hell about the press and in his final presser put some rather bizarre restrictions in place and didn't want video/tv cameras to record.
Anyhoo... wonder how poor Knox Kiffin is gonna feel about all this in the future?

Everyone acts like Kiffin's year was so great at UT...here are the facts.
Kiffin was only 1 full season removed from our program going to the SEC Title game. It was not nearly in as bad as shape talent wise as it was when Dooley took over and not nearly as bad as when Butch took over.
On that 2009 team the following would later get drafted.
I also contend that many more would have been drafted if he hadn't left and caused us to have 3 coaches in three years.
DB - Eric Berry - Rd 1
DT - Dan Williams - Rd 1
RB - Montario Hardesty - RD 2
OL - Dallas Thomas - RD 3
OL - Jac McClendon - RD 4
TE - Luke Stocker - RD 4
WR - Denarious Moore - RD 5
OL - Chris Scott - RD 5
QB - Crompdaddy - RD 5
RB - Bryce Brown - RD 7
Here are our results from that season
W's
Western Kentucky (D2)
Ohio
Georgia (5 losses)
SC (6 losses)
Memphis
Vandy (10 losses)
Kentucky (6 losses)
L's
UCLA - (FING Terrbile 6 losses)
@Florida - Very good
Auburn - (5 losses Cheeznut's first team)
@Bama - Very good
@Ole Miss - (4 Losses)
Virginia Tech - (3 losses)
He had a very poor season for the talent we had on the roster. Is it better than we've done since then, yes in terms of Win, but NO in terms of getting results compared to the talent on the roster.
Only Dooley did worse in 2012.
Also Kiffin led to us being put in a shitty place and having to hire the Dooley disaster in the first place. He also got us on probation which hurt Dooley's recruiting, lost us scholarships and just put our program in a bad light. he ran off players which decimated our roster and he IS THE REASON Tennessee football has been destroyed. If we had hired ANYONE but him in 2008 we would have had a very short dip in our win output but would have been competing for the East again by 2010.
No TN fan will do anything but BOO that loser and possibly worse if he isn't lucky.
