So Saban makes more than 7.3m a year?
Posted on 5/1/14 at 9:23 pm to DaleDenton
Coach K tons it. I think he's at 7.2mm

probably 2006, before Saban returned.

As long as Saban and Les are coaching it won't be for a while.

Saban's compensation is 7.5

Yes he does. The new deal is 7-7.5 a year. If it is the maximum, then yes, he is the highest paid college football coach by a mile

2.8 is his base salary, I have not idea where they got their figures.

I thought -- and Bama posters can correct me -- that Saban's contract guaranteed he'd always be the best-paid coach in the SEC. I seem to recall people saying that here on the Rant. Granted, believing what you read on the Rant is somewhat akin to believing chain e-mail "facts" without checking Snopes.

Next year.
After finishing 4th in the West.
Should be due for a raise and extension.

hell, y'all already overpay him when you consider results. are you saying he'll improve if you pay him more? I didn't know it worked that way.

Why are y'all even responding?

Never because doesn't Miles have a clause that he is to be the highest paid coach in the SEC?
I found this from 2012, but LSU may have taken this clause out with his latest contract.
