If things go to hell go at A&M this season he's going to take the bulk of the blame for not being able to control his star athlete. Especially when said athletes parents have already gotten the ball rolling with their self-pitying ESPN magazine article

Let's be honest, if Eugene would have at least beaten the bottom dwellers (Mississippi schools, Vandy). He's still Auburn's coach. Tuberville's son just walked-on Auburns football team and we grin-n-bear Pay Dye on Fbaum. Hell maybe one day we'll have another Bowden walking around campus.

Auburn gives as good as it gets. I don't know if the same will be said once the dust settles in College Station

*According to aubiematt we've already had a Bowden on campus
quote:

Well, a Bowden (It was Bobby Bowden's grandson) did go to Auburn during the Tuberville era. He was a friend of mine. His grandfather called my house once looking for him, I didn't know what to say.

If Texas A&M has an 8 win season they will blame Manziel, not Sumlin.

So the second most racist school in the SEC hire a black head football coach?

Will be easier to win at TAMU vs. Auburn... Bigger recruiting base and he will get the pick of Texas now that they are part of the SEC...

At Auburn, he is the number 2 school in the state...

No Aggie is going to blame Sumlin for the actions of Manziel's parents. And since Manziel so far hasn't done anything to warrant even a tenth of the criticism he gets, aside from just being a showboat/troll, I don't see much reason to think he's going to be the cause of our season going to hell.

He has a white wife, so no way he had a shot at the Auburn job. That was the reason Charlie Strong didn't get the job in 2008.

Umm, you wish man.

I guess one little brother is as good as the next, though.

Every coach in AU's history has had a white wife.
