You think he is better than Chavis?

I thought gumps were the worst of the worst about claiming features of their program being the gold standard and attributing everything they have was obtained beyond chance and happenstance. I was wrong. It's swamp kittens. They genuinely think they'll have the best defense in the SEC again even without Chavis because of the name on the helmet. It's insane. I love it though. I can't wait for the melt.

Meanwhile, top defensive recruits are FLOCKING to College Station for the chance to play for THE John Chavis..

Considering the lack of talent on your D, you might want to rethink your position.

I know. It's like LSU totally sucked at defense before Chavis got here.

Why is Auburn sticking up for Aggy? You can't be serious thinking the Chavis impact in Aggyland will be greater than or even close to the attraction of Muschamp at AU. Chavis will continue to preach "his" accolades at LSU until his new defense destroys that credibility

I like the myth that Chavis left the UT defense in shambles.

All I'm saying is John Chavis > Kevin Steele and it isn't even close.

It's pretty simple.

And all we're saying is, we will see. You can't compare historical differences with different variables.

SEC fan bases other than Tennessee and LSU have made Chavis into some GOAT guru. It's hilarious at this point.

I also love the belief that LSU had good defenses only because of John Chavis as if LSU never had great defenses before.

I've never seen one coordinator come out of the booth for a snap either

Those are Kevin Steele's years as a defensive coordinator, averaging out to his defenses giving up 23.3 PPG. During his time at Clemson, it appeared that his defenses did well until most of his players starting taking over as starters. That is what I expect to happen to LSU, although not as severely.

I'm talking about with LSU/Bama talent on the defensive side of the ball. I expect his numbers to be worse at clemson where the defensive talent is not nearly as good as LSU and Bama. If coach O can recruit his arse off and we can continue to get top defensive talent, I don't think he will be a liability. I am with most though in that I think it was an average to below average hire AT BEST.

I'll expect no historical references from you for the Auburn/LSU game in Death Valley this year.

Cameron already had a polished Mett, OBJ, Jarvis Landry, and Jeremy Hill. You or I could have called the plays and had great results with that talent. Don't fool yourself.
