That's the thing, offensive issues can be fixed within a week. I don't put much stock in what an offense looks like in week 1, especially against lower tier teams. Your defense is almost always ahead of your offense.

You're not showing much, not necessarily hiding the playbook, but being predictable and deliberate. Change an offensive lineman (or QB), fix a blocking scheme, and the dynamics of an offense can change dramatically.


But if you have major holes in the defense, scheme or depth, you can't fix that within a week. Often times, you can't even fix it within a season.

Kentucky has defensive issues with both scheme and depth, they are gonna have big problems this year.
