Word out of Pittsburgh late tonight is that freshman PF/C Khem Birch is preparing to leave Pitt's basketball team for Kentucky. Birch, 6'10-6'11", is an extremely talented, athletic big man that's raw offensively right now. Was considered a one-and-done player before the year. The Canadian graduated high school early (should be a hs senior this year) and enrolled early at Pitt. He's been starting at C and has been disappointed with his 15mpg. You're getting a good one Wildcat fans.

A source tells us Khem Birch is indeed leaving Pitt, possibly for Kentucky. Hope its not true. 5:50pm - 15 Dec 11

Because Kentucky needs more talent...

Gotta give it to them though. They know how to ball.

I don't think Cal is dumb enough to tell some kid that he's gonna get more playing time. And I don't think the kid would be dumb enough to believe it.

These past two days have been hard.

Graham scums out and now we lose our first potential lottery pick in forever. Guy has crazy potential.

We really could. We are not deep at all. But Twany Beckham can play now so we'll see how that works out.

So he'll be starting PG next year after Teague leaves?

No idea. At this point, Teague is an idiot if he declares for the draft. He has a A LOT of growing up to do if he wants to make it in the NBA.

Someone will pick him in the lottery because of Cal's success with PGs

I'm just saying. He's not even half as good as Wall or Knight were at this point in their freshman year IMO.

I think so. I don't see Teague staying, especially if he starts playing like he did in the 2nd half of the IU game. NBA drafts on potential he has plenty of it.

Harrow is pretty badass. And we'll need the depth in the post with Vargas graduating and Davis 99% gone. This kid from Pitt would come in mid-year like Twany is I believe if it happens.

So Busey.. in your professional opinion.. Who should the hornets go after with their two potential lottery picks next year?

I just really don't watch college basketball.. Who on KY's team is a lottery worthy that is? (this year)

Bestplayers money can buy. They'll soon be joining M State and UMass on probation.
