I'm still scarred from the Tenn/Iowa bowl weekend. Never saw so many fat pasty ugly people at the same time before and hope I never do again.

FWIW, for many Kentucky fans it's their only chance to go to a game all year.

in what respect?

Knoxville and the tri cities are normal people for the most part. From what I've seen in my line of work, anyways. I'm sure there are some backwood folks in those little hole-in-the-wall towns, though. Just like anywhere.

No Belle, it didn't. I'm a middle age man with kids. I didn't roll in Lexington looking for trouble. I had fun at the distillery tours, but your fans were really strange.

It's extremely unusual to hear from a fan base other than Louisville that our football crowd was anything other than polite. Would you mind giving examples of what you encountered? Did you happen to bring up basketball and perhaps how Mizzou was going to dominate UK and the conference? That would definitely bring rain.

I know it's supposed to be funny, but damn, the stereotypes kind of get old.

Question: Are you really "poor" if you can financially afford to follow your team to the Bahamas, and then anywhere else all season in the continental US?

No, even Bloody Harlan isn't that bad.

ETA: Then again...

LOL my daughter is a Bama FB, UK BB, Patriots and Yankees fans. Doesn't care about Pro roundball.

Have been to Lexington both times Bama played there recently and had a great time. I have the utmost respect for UK fans.

We usually put on a good show and the opponent's fans leave happy. What's not to like about our football fans?

Everyone should stop describing me to a T. It's fricking disturbing.

I can usually tell when Kentucky comes to town not often you see a washer and dryer strapped to a travel trailer. If not you can always see them when they have to pull to the side of the road every hour so the wife can dump out her tobacco spit cup.

I respect their passion, but I don't get why they waste their time and money at an event like this.

Very meaningless for Kentucky. Could lose tomorrow and still get the #1 overall seed.

Because a trip to Nashville and a much closer seat to the action is cheaper (and easier to get) than a courtside seat at Rupp.

Plus, the tournament is pretty fun and when it's in Nashville it's just 3 or so hours up the road. It's a fun weekend trip honestly.

Precisely why any reasonable person would admire the program....not necessarily the individual fans, but the program.
