Kentucky is scary good and leading 55-12 at the half. Kentucky shooting 61% and UTA is shooting 13%

I was hoping UT Arlington had already played Texas to get a feel for them but they don't until next week.

And apparently UK is blocking something like 18% of opponent's shots right now.

They are very good when the right team shows up. They will lose more than most expect them too this season.

What's wrong shaft? Upset that the NCAA caught Tyndall before he could pay for yours?

And it'll be interesting to see what happens in the 2nd. Arlington typically shoots 40% from the arc but they haven't really been able to get it going with UK's defense pushing them way off the perimeter.

If they lose a game, they will have lost more than most have expected.
I'm not going to call for the undefeated season just yet, but I don't see them losing more than a couple games at most.

I haven't looked at their non-conference schedule, but I'd bet they lose at least 2 SEC road games. They are still a young team and way too many people get caught up in their ratings out of high school. They are still freshman.

If "most" truly believe they won't lose a game, you surround yourself with some very stupid basketball minded people.

We have Providence, Texas, North Carolina, UCLA, and Louisville left in the non-conference. I don't think anyone in the SEC beats them this year.

UK is a great team with solid experienced players. I'm just saying, they've shown that they are susceptible to not showing up for games which plenty of good teams have done. Whether this is a great team has yet to be shown and no need in crowning them the best thing since sliced bread. They're good, but put them in any other conference and they would lose 3 or 4 games minimum.

I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped a conference game and an OOC. Both '96 and '12 lost games like that.

But anybody who is putting out the "they're all freshman line" probably needs to retool last year's argument.

Meh. The SEC is full of teams that beat teams they shouldn't and lose to teams they shouldn't. I don't have any reason to think, if they do well in their OOC slate, that they couldn't be dominant in other conferences too.

Media may be doing this (especially the 76ers bit) but fan expectations have been pretty tempered.

What if you lose to Tennessee and their interim head coach?

Then you'll be our Vandy like in 2012.

ETA: FWIW, I think this team will be plenty hungry, especially come tournament time. And largely because of those guys that returned that had that taste of a potential NC.

You are an idiot. What makes this team so scary is that they have most of last year's stacked team along with it.

This team has very few weaknesses. They play incredible defense, they are extremely unselfish, and they have enough shooters. It's going to be tough for anybody to beat this team.
