I agree, but those 2 ratings use 2 different types of criteria.

KenPom is a measure of how a team plays, much like F+ or ESPN FPI in football.

RPI is just a measure of SOS and how you performed against it.

Hence the differences for teams like Florida.

It's just an index, not a poll ranking. The real proof in the pudding comes two months from now, when a team not ranked in the top 25 polls but with an RPI in the top 30 will likely get into the dance.

The NCAA ones are not final but were you stand now will probably have bearing on you final RPI so it is not totally arbitrary either.
