I get your point that's it's going to be about expanding our market and the sec footprint to more people, but in a state like oklahoma that has no pro sports besides the thunder in the nba, I think it would be a good move to get OU. They also have a large fanbase that is spread across the country and alot of fans in North texas where we have no presence right now, like dallas. Alot of ou fans in dallas and texas in general. You may he right though. I just woukd want to get a another premier football program like ou, instead of going after another a&m or missouri ya know? I wouldn't want to water down the league just to get a little bit bigger viewing audience.

I lived in Manhattan a few years and I find this hard to believe. Don't think I met anyone like that when I lived there.
And anyone who isn't in Manhattan is either a Nebraska or Oklahoma fan, depending on if you go north or south.

Like 90% of the population is in the Eastern part of the state. There is almost nothing West of Wichita. I never go out that way unless going to Colorado, and that's a long arse 9 hour drive.

I agree. All of the K-State fans I know are humble and just thankful they have a better program than KU. I've lived in Kansas for 11 years now and never heard them talk trash about anyone than KU.

That has to be a fricking joke. Back when A&M
and Mizzou were added they were falling all over one another on that exact same board for the SEC to take them too. I guess they are the jilted date here. Got stood up because we took the equally ugly Missouri to the dance. I can never imagine a scenario where I would get excited to go to Manhattan fricking Kansas.

So much KSU love - good to see it! I was surfing for some Vandy boards and landed here. It is correct that the goemaw.com posters try to find/bait opponents with insinuation that playing the school somehow tarnishes the KSU rep. They try it with everyone - Michigan/whoever.
Take it for what it is and actually they are pretty clever at it. The classic was the Arkansas one - who has darn good fans. This thread is finally slowing down - actually made the news in Ark.

I say we kick Texas A&M out of the SEC and add Kansas State. Kansas State is more of a national brand and they bring more national markets than the College Station market. Would be a huge win for the SEC.
