BREAKING: Courtney Morgan (@PlayerProMorgan) was on the flight to Alabama with Kalen DeBoer. Morgan is one of the best player personnel minds in CFB. He will likely be the new General Manager of Alabama Football.

I just saw Deboer’s recruiting record at UW for 2021, 2022 and 2023. It makes me so happy……

Helped build that 59th, 29th and 29th ranked classes.
Quite the secret weapon.
I’m sure it will be better, because talent is better in the area and AL naturally recruits better….but Peterson was pulling in top 15-20 classes, and they saw a pretty significant drop off with DeBoer.
I’m sure it was just the PNW and all.

He was the worst recruiter Washington’s had in nearly three decades

And took them to the championship for the first times in three decades. Imagine what he can do at a place like Alabama where he can recruit top 10 classes?

Keep in mind, the best talent is in The Southeast for obvious reasons and luring those kids 3,000 miles to the west coast is hard.

It doesn’t exactly scream tireless effort to get players which are the life’s blood of any program. Even the portal classes aren’t spectacular. But Bama has the infrastructure to maybe make up for his short comings in this department. But this is a huge/tectonic shift from Saban.

And got skull drug in that championship game. Peterson had them in the playoffs a few years back as well so let’s not act like Washington can’t get there.
Plus did anyone not watch the end of the Sugar Bowl where DeBoer almost blew the entire game by his completely idiotic clock managment? If UT had come back and won because of that, would you still be here trying to rationalize how he’s the next Nick Saban? Doubtful.
