Yea but that was at Ole Miss even he could not turn around that culture of losing--guess he did not cheat and pray enough.

I believe this has been overstated. It's something he said once as far as I know. Everyone has a part of their job they don't like. And there are other college HCs that don't care for recruiting either that didn't get it caught on a sound bite.
He's going back to college and he will recruit, because his days of coaching in the NFL are over and he's not going to retire.
He'll probably end up at Ohio State as OC or Bama, as Saban is a rehabilitator of careers these days.

Chip would not survive the SEC. The only ten he beat from the SEC is Tenn. He is 0-fer against the west.

OP. not a matter of waiting for CK. He let it be known, early on, that he had no interest in returning to coaching college football. Those reasons have been widely documented, here & in the national media. His leaving the Ducks was very much a mutual parting of the ways.
