come on bro...clearly you are "LSU-sessed" as seen with your sig pic, but on what planet would you try and say Ole Miss = LSU...when is the last time Ole Miss won a game of consequence? 1960?

Timeframe means nothing. A 1990 championship is the same as a 2011 championship

Thank you for trying to understand, but I'm afraid you're writing dissertations about a snapshot and ignoring the plot of the movie. Your snapshot is a 7-6 season - no big deal, you're right. But the movie plot is the return to prominence of a top ten program, engineered by a guy who inherited an empty cupboard and a steaming pile of kimshi on his desk.

Why don't you try being ranked in a single AP poll before you declare yourself a top ten program again, bud

Arkansas and UT is building after two coaches run the programs in the ditch. We are both out of the ditch now and will be much more difficult to beat. Impressive to watch last year? Maybe,to both fan bases. Because we know how far we had come to compete. Both teams did compete and win late games against good teams. Both teams will be even better next year under steady coaching staffs. I like both teams chances to cause problems in their divisions. WPS

Anyone that doesn't recognize the huge improvements in both programs are just ignorant fools. Solid coaching staff (UT & UA)- solid recruiting (UT) - solid developement (UA) will result in a competitive product on the field. And I agree, both teams are poised to shake shite up in their divisions.

It's not the record that is impressive, it's the progress and outlook for the future that is impressive.

The corner has been turned.

Thank you for this reasonable post.

The data below shows why TN and even Arkansas to an extent were happy with 7-6 last year. They will not be happy with 7-6 going forward and everyone needs to stop acting like since we understood the context of our teams and where our rebuilds were and were pleased means that our expectations have been forever lowered.

According to SDS....

I've seen these numbers. That's why I said anyone attempting to diminish the 2014 season results for UT and where the program is headed are trolling fools.

Vols and Hawgs are building momentum. Good to great coaches know that the "mental" aspect of coaching is just as much or more important than the physical. IMO, ridding the team of a losers mentality even while being forced to field green players will pay dividends down the road.

Considering we had all new starters along both the offensive and defensive line, and played the most freshman in America, I consider it a success.

OK, now you're just being disingenuous - I didn't say anything about being in the top ten right now. I guess I have to spell it all out, because what I meant was top ten all time, and there's no arguing that point.
