LSU played very well, and brought the winning game plan. Les Miles knew we would be vulnerable up front without Easley, and ran the ball down our throats. Les is a great coach.

LSU found his defense. Sure it helps that our OL has sucked for four straight years. But the LSU defense came with a chip on their shoulder and dominated up front.

Pretty much this, really was impressed with LSU showing up on D. Agreed about the OL. They were awful in pass pro last night.

Florida has a good QB. Good grief, he got beat up, and continue to play well. I'm sure he wished he had not missed Dumbar in the endzone, but oh well.

TM should've gotten sacked more, but he at least did a good job of stepping up in the pocket, and also at least escaping some defenders. still think he'll do fine for us.

Go Gators!

I haven't see the game yet. I hope to watch it tonight but the lack of offense is making this team hard to watch. I love great defense but a good to great offense would be refreshing again. This is going to be Boom's downfall if he doesn't get that side of the ball corrected. At this point, he should turn Pease loose to see if he's the answer at OC. I'm starting to have some doubts about that.

How bad did Cam Cameron and Mett torch us through the air?

It was a classic LSU-UF battle. The team that wins in the trenches wins the game. Never really a game where the teams are scoring a lot. Its a classic control the LOS and clock battle.

UF is a mirror image of what LSU was 2-3 years ago. Great D, UF has the best D in the country IMO even without Easly. But great D, great RBs, decent OL, its just the QB play is what holds yall back.

That said, the Murphy kid is going to be good. Better than Driskell. I was extremely impressed with his poise out there. Never seemed to be rattled. There were a few plays where I thought we had the sack and the QB had guys on his back and still managed to get a pass off.

And to the LSU fans that were bitching about the game plan and how the game was boring and how we didnt throw that much or light up the scoreboard, this is how you win against teams like UF. Its not a race to 50points like the UGA game was. This game is all about controlling the LOS on offense and defense and running the football. We did that. We successfully executed our game plan on the best D in the country. And stayed with it and it worked extremely well.

All in all, great game UF. Sorry it was so freaking hot down here yesterday

They hit a few passes, but I thought the secondary played very well.

Key is that the front 4 couldn't get any pressure on the passes that Mett did hit, and that was huge since Muschamp doesn't like to blitz a lot.

In the 2nd half, UF blitzed more, but still couldn't get pressure.

LSU's OLine flat out dominated UF's DLine and the same was true for LSU's DLine vs. UF's O-Line.

They won the LOS battles and that was the game.

Murphy missed quite a few open WR's, but that comes with inexperience and the fact that 90% of the time yesterday, he was running for his life.

Yes he will. He's strong and showed good escapabilty. (One reson I like football is because you can make up words like escapability)

Yeah, I thought about the same.

LSU got good pressure on the QB which caused him to rush throws. But all in all, Murphy played well.

I still think we beat Mizzou and UGA. Not sure about Carolina.

Sorry, but I disagree. The guy has zero pocket awareness, and is really inaccurate.

It sucks when you have a really good team and they end up with like four losses. That is why it was dumb to expand the SEC.

Did you watch the game yesterday?

His pocket awareness is the only reason LSU had 4 sacks and not 10.

As for inaccuracy, the only ball he missed on was the open TD to Dunbar at the end of the game, but he was running for his life almost every time on passing plays.

Right after the ball was snapped, LSU had guys in his face yesterday.

Just saw the false start on LSU on that first TD. Cheaters.

I just remember at least a few plays where he just stood in the pocket for wayyy too long.

I dunno, not trying to be a hater, but i was largely unimpressed, even if he didnt have a lot of help around him.

my thoughts are:

How does the sky get that blue hue?

Why aren't clouds considered big fluffy angel pillows?

Why does LSU suck at defense? is it 3rd and Chavis all over again?

just my thoughts.

Not a troll... but our post game show brought up a valid question. Why can Boom bring in the best defensive talent in the talent-rich state of Fla but cannot seem to get the same on the offensive side of the ball? I'll hangup and listen...

It was a clean game, and I'm glad nobody got hurt. As far as loses go, this hurts a lot less than Miami because LSU was the better team.

It's obvious that UF had the best defense LSU will play all year. It's also obvious that LSU had the best defense UF has played so far, and maybe all year as well.

After the UGA game, I heard a fan wonder if the LSU defense missed the bus, how long would it take the rest of the team to notice?

Welcome back, defense. You've been missed.

You do realize we were in that same boat only 2 years ago??

All you need is a QB to change that perspective around. Just like us a few years ago. Best D in the nation, great RBs, solid OL, horrible QB. UF has a lot of talent on O, just not at QB right now.

Everyone was asking why cant Miles find a QB in the talent rich state of LA.
